Smells great
I don't really struggle with body odor so I did not buy this product to address that issue, however, I do have very dry skin and most soaps dry it out further. This soap is soothing and not over drying, also it will take off makeup completely and you won't get any on your towel. It's worth it alone for that because I have always found make up remover to be very messy and not very effective to use. Soap up your face (or body) and leave on your skin a few seconds before rinsing for the best results. Whether this is a good value for the money is entirely dependent on your soap tray situation, I used a soap standle and got a very long life from this soap, but I can imagine if you left it in your shower soap holder it might melt into muck. This soap has a faintly sweet mostly neutral smell it will not compete with the scent of your laundry soap, deodorant, or shampoo.

Highly effective and less expensive
As I've aged it has become clear that my body odor is harder to wash away and keep away. I don't know if it's the old person smell, but I don't like it and that's what matters. Some prescription drugs cause noxious body odor, too. I read about persimmon soap and saw that it was quite expensive This brand is not as expensive and it works very well. Also, I use a crystal for my deodorant. Together with this soap I smell nice and odor-free, sometimes for 48 hours. I keep the bar away from water while not using it, and use it on my underarms only. That way it will last much longer.

More ingredients than expected or wanted.
So far it seems to be good. I would have liked to see a full ingredient list before purchasing--I wanted fewer ingredients that matched a previous version of this soap from another seller that is now unavailable.Ingredients:Persimmon Extract, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Water, Sucrose, Sorbitol, Glycerol, Propylene Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate, Myristic Acid, Lauric Acid, Stearic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide.

Fresh and Sudsy.
It is a refreshing fragrance and comes in a drawstring bag that you can scrub with. It gives plenty of suds. I only wish that the, old people smell label was changed to something less offensive. I don't have the, old people smell, but still like the soap.
