My son has a food truck that this was perfect for
This really is such a cool sign and just on the inside top of his main service window, this sign lets him create unique, daily "signs" for a special of the day or just something that will make his customers smile. I gave it to him and then sat down with him as he set it up, got the app and made his first scrolling sign. The only thing we had to figure out was a way to hang it so it could be quickly put up or taken down. We ended up gluing on these metal loops at the top. The window area has metal and I happen to have some really strong megnetic hooks so this sign has loops that slip on the magnetic hooks and all he has to do is choose his sign for the day and it's ready! This is one really cool sign and could be used in lots of different ways - a catering business could use it to celebrate whatever event they have been hired for like weddings or birthdays. Many different businesses could have this in their window and then there's the man cave for football events. I'd have one for myself, but it really is something to show off daily and I don't really have any way to do that - but my son sure does and I know it will help maybe a little bit with his business.

An excellent LED sign for text, but lacking when it comes to animations.
If was was just to rate this LED sign on it's ability to display text, it would, without a doubt be 5 stars. I'm really very pleased with how easy it is, to make text with whatever colors you want, and even with chase lights around the borders, to make things really catch your eye. You can make multiple text messages, and play them in a given order. There is an option to turn the display upside down, but if you do that, you have to write your messages backwards, to make them display properly. That's my only complaint about the text features of this LED sign. This LED sign also play animations, like little videos. But where it is lacking, is the fact you can only play one video. There is no type of video play list, like my other LED sign has. The software isn't the easiest to use to make videos, but it does have some useful tools. It would be nice if they had a desktop app, to use to make your animations, but it such software exists, I haven't seen it yet.As far as the hardware goes, I don't really care for being able to see the chips and traces through the coating on the LED sign. That can look cool in the right circumstances, however I don't feel this is one of them. On each end of the sign, on the back, is a strip of metal. This is where I attached my magnetic tape, but it kept falling off, because the metal is too smooth. So, I used a knife, to scratch up the metal a bit, so the tape has something to grab onto, and that has been working fine.Overall, I really like this sign, because of it's great ability to customize and display text, despite it's lacking in the animation department. If you need to display mostly text, then I feel this is a great sign, and I can recommend it for that use. But if you want to display mostly graphics, then there are better LED signs out there for that use.

Works well with the app
RECOMMENDATION:Thumbs Up: If you have a use for this I can recommend it.THE GOOD:1. The LED sign is flexible so you can actually wrap it around things if so desired.2. The chips that control it are built right into the board and can be seen directly from the front. Sort of a cool effect.3. The app controls the display via Bluetooth via a command box built into the power cable. That works well.4. The power cable also has a separate power switch on it, and is very long so that helps with sign placement.5. They do include an auto adapter in the box, but unless you are an uber driver, putting a moving sign in your car is a bad idea. It has been proven to distract other drivers and thus increase your (or their) odds of an accident.6. They do include flexible double-sided tape to be used to mount the sign wherever you want.THE BAD:1. The product description on Amazon shows it placed into a storefront, but the size that they show is wildly too large. I don’t think that the sign is really big enough to be used in a retail setting.

Good quality, fun sign
This is actually more fun than I expected. Once you install the app, you can easily connect to this sign using bluetooth to send "programs" or images to the sign. The app comes with a whole bunch of already created designs but you have a lot of flexibility in the app to program this however you see fit. The sign is actually quite bright (you can control the brightness in the app), and doesn't look as dark as my pictures (I had to turn the brightness down on my phone camera to get rid of the glare from the brightness being so close to the sign). The images displayed don't have to be "static" either - they can include movement (much like an animated GIF image). The only thing I didn't really like or understand is that the on/off switch is very close to the end of the power cable where you plug in to a USB port. But the button to adjust the programs or rotate the image (or can be used for on/off) is at the opposite end closer to the sign. It seems all of this functionality should be in one spot, at the end where it plugs in (or include the same functionality at both ends?). Either way, this is a really fun gadget - and has various applications (whether in a car window, business window, or wherever).

Perfect for my use
I do "tables" for hamfest and this is a great way to add some pizzaz to the table besides just having a banner. I also help with the exam testing and exam sessions and having a lighted sign is better to announce the location for the exams. With the button, you can switch between different saved signs -- announcing when the exams start, and then when the exams start, and are closed -- all with the push of a button to switch to the different signs.Programming the different signs is easy. You select a template (there is one for a single line and one for a 2 line sign) and then add the text you want to use. The font is readable and each individual letter can have a unique color. It also supports color changing options.I am going to mount this to a thin Masonite board so it can be placed on a table or hung from a partition. This is a really nice display and can add to any display. The phone editor used for the sign (Android phone) is CoolLED1248.
