Talking a lot without saying anything in book form
Read about 90 pages and it was disappointing. It's supposed to be an overview of AI impact in every sector so I don't blame it for not deep diving on some of the claims but it barely scratches the surface. This is how this book is written - A section about mental health. The author will describe the mental health crisis and its various causes like social media, and then at the end there will be a few lines that talks about how AI will fix this by scanning troublesome posts for deletion and encouraging users to spend time on something else(lol okay). This is pretty much the format of this book for all the sectors that I've read so far. There are some interesting things in here for sure but they are described in the most shallow way possible. There are zero references for any of the claims. If you're looking for a collection of short articles about AI in different sectors, this works. But if you're looking to understand how AI will change your life, as the title claims, this doesn't do a very good job.
