Best and most affordable UST Projector for $3K
The highest quality and most affordable ultra short throw projector on the market right now. I was shopping for ultra short throw projectors in the $3k range and this is by far the best option. I tried Epson, AWOL, Hisense, and this one beats all of the others by a long shot. This one is also has the smallest footprint, the brightest picture, the quietest fan, the best sound, the best design, the only one to have an automatic protective cover, the safest eye shutoff timing, the shortest distance to the wall, the best software, and the most affordable.Only the Epson was the best at the color, of the ones I tried.AWOL was probably the worst one having the picture cut in and out while watching which was a deal breaker. Hisense was also not great in terms of software options. It did connect to Apple HomeKit which was cool, but not all that useful. It also had no auto shutoff eye protection when looking into the laser, which every other system did. It was the only one that ran on Google TV vs Android TV. It also had a light that was always on, and no option to turn off.The Xgimi has the fastest shutoff time where your eyes will never receive light. a must if you have kids. The others have a slight delay where you’ll be blinded for a split second.Epson had the best color, however it had a much larger footprint on the entertainment center and had to be further from the wall, so it was almost falling off. It also required manual focus, and no auto-keystone, and the fan was noticeably loud after a while. So yes the Xgimi is by far the best option. There are some improvement that could be made. It’s running on Android TV, but I think I like Google TV software better. Also if the color laser has the same technology as the Epson, it would be perfect. EPSON was the only where you couldn’t see the blue/green/red colors if you moved your eyes quickly.I wish the remote had an “input” button and the volume buttons would be easier to see. It looks like you could buy another version of the remote on their website with these options. The pros: it has Auto keystone on startup and movement. If you move the projector, it can autofocus. It can also auto keystone on power on. The reason this is a must for me is because it’s on a separate entertainment center on hardwood. Any slight movement to the entertainment center or the projector requires you to redo the keystone. When it’s complicated to do, then it’s a pain to get right. Some of the other projectors require an App where you take a picture of the screen on your phone, or manually adjust each corner. It also supports WiFi 6, which is one of the few devices I own that supports it.The audio was also important for us, because we didn’t want to buy a separate sound bar. This one had the best sounding audio of all the systems I tested. So it was pretty much a no brainer to choose this one, I can’t recommend this enough! Definitely a 5 star purchase.

This is my most favorite gadget
After finishing my basement to be a movie theater/kid cave with the intention of installing a ceiling mounted projector, the idea of using an ultra short throw peeked my interest and I started looking for the right one. This one caught my attention for a few reasons, not only price. Built-in Google TV means we don't have to supply another device for access to the streaming content. The built-in soundbar means we don't have to wire up an external sound system. I put some faith into the other reviews of the device and purchased it during a sale.I was not disappointed. The brightness is great and the picture is visible even when all the ceiling lights are on. I am using a high quality projector screen. Of course it's best when the room is darkened but that is not a surprise for any display type. The resolution is phenomenal on our 108" projected surface. 4K HDR content looks as crystal clear as I'd expect from any display. The Harmon Kardon soundbar is the crowning achievement. When watching a big movie with big sound at high volume the entire house can enjoy the movie with me 😆. It's able to simulate immersive sound better than any other audio system I've had to date. The only negative I can point to is not really XGIMI's fault. Netflix has not certified the device so you cannot play content with the official Netflix app from the Play Store and have to use a side loaded version that emulates web playback in order to access Netflix content which is less than perfect.

Picture and sound qualities are excellent
I’m a big fan of XGIMI projectors, having used them for a long time. Recently, I purchased the XGIMI AURA 2 short-throw projector, one of their latest releases this year. I absolutely love it! The picture and sound quality are outstanding, making it perfect for a home theater, bedroom, or living room setup. One of the standout features is the built-in Harman/Kardon sound system, which eliminates the need for an additional soundbar. The new Dual Light 2.0 technology and IMAX Enhanced certification take the viewing experience to the next level, setting this projector apart from the competition. It also comes loaded with convenient features like auto keystone correction, auto focus, wall color adaptation, an eye comfort mode, 3D support, and more. These enhancements make using this projector a truly enjoyable experience. The design and build quality are also impressive, featuring a protective on/off shutter for the lens. This thoughtful addition not only enhances durability but also adds to its sleek design.I highly recommend the XGIMI AURA 2. It’s a fantastic investment, and I’m confident you’ll love it as much as I do!

Great Overall Projector, but Would Have Saved Up for 3500 Lumen
We purchased this projector on Amazon Prime Day to replace our Epson 3500 lumen projector that was not 4K. If I had it to do over again, I would have saved my money and waited another year or two to pick up a 4K 3500 lumen projector. We can barely watch this projector unless the lights are out in the entire downstairs area and the curtains are drawn. This is more for a home theater. Our Epson had a bright enough picture that you could have ever light in the house on and still see it.Overall, this is a really nice projector for the price, but you really need to consider what you plan to use it for. It would be great for a den with low lighting or a home theater room, otherwise, you might want to look at other options. The other great thing about this projector is the sound, you can actually enjoy the sound without your home surround sound set up. That is a huge bonus for this projector.
