Do not generally give a 5-star for anything, but I am particularly satisfied with this unit because it has a solid footprint when standing and the tilt and telescoping feature allow for the best light to strike the pages for easier reading. The construction is stout enough for a heavy text book, but I would not recommend this for the Gutenberg Bible. I mean, let's be sensible now! It really is a sturdy unit, and I find it very easy to move around on my desk when I am referencing something for work on the computer.

Happy I spent the extra $ and got this! Works beautifully, my neck does not hurt anymore.

Perfect for my books. I wanted something that would be able to sit on my wide couch arm while I’m reading or directly in my lap that I could telescope or put down as needed but at the same time for my book open. This is perfect for it. It may be a little on the heavier side for a book stand, but that doesn’t bother me.

Exceeds my expectations!! No assembly. Surprising light yet very sturdy. The text book in my picture is large and flimsy yet this book stand supports it perfectly I love this so much that I sent pictures to my classmates too. Highly recommend.
