Amazon PowerFast International USB Charger Kit

It's always good to recieve something that's in a lovely box. First impressions are lasting, and so I unpacked my charger and its adaptors from its tasteful and splendid packaging with great anticipation.Not disappointed. It all feels solid and professional, the casings are wonderfully tough and shiny, like a Steinway piano, or a bakelite telephone... what's this? Someone actually cares about how a charger and adaptor looks and feels?The charger is fast. I'd love it to be more compact, but I guess it needs the size to provide the juice. The adaptors click on with a reassuring 'thunk' - and - here's the genius - you can attach them in any of four directions, meaning that you can orient your usb cable to suit any unfeasibly silly hotel room mains socket placement (like, half a centimetre above the desk/bedside table, etc), by placing the usb output on the top, side, or bottom. It's a simple twist and click.Not the cheapest of options, but this is something that is well conceived, well designed and well manufactured, and therefore worth the extra expense.

Extremely useful for frequent travellers as no matter which country you happen to be travelling to, there is a plug in this set designed for the country! Also very easy to change the adapter. Packaged well and as per product description. The kit contains chargers that can be used all over the world. They are light and easy to pack and they are clearly marked for their country of use.USB cable measures at about 1.5m. ALSO, works with some phones, such as BlackBerries!Plus, the kit comes very nicely packaged, with the new Kindle I am planning to give as a Christmas present to one lucky receiver, this makes a very nice addition (compared to the simply and squarely packed charges if you order them separately).

The items are ok, but you could sell them one by one. I was only interested in the Danish one to make it cheaper.

If you are looking for a Powerfast Charger, and occasionally leave the UK, then this is a much better bargain than just buying a UK plug. Currently the European sites aren't marketing this as a Kindle powerfast charger- well it is. There are faint markings just by the USB socket stating that it's output is 9 Watts, 5 Volts and 1.8 Amps. Although bought for the Fire HD tablet, I tried the UK only version for my old but still power-hungry versions of iPad and iPhone and it was amazingly speedy.The square transformer unit is chunky--but much less so than Apple's international offering. There is a good quality lead and 5 different charging plates which connect to sturdy looking C-shaped metal lugs on the transformer unit. The marketing image is incorrect as the UK plug is slightly larger with a lip (exactly like the normal UK Powerfast unit is pictured).The five changeable heads (referencing the Wikipedia page on mains electricity) appear to be:Type A two pin USA and ChinaType B two pin with holes drilled in the end, USA new style, JapanType C two pin Europlug (oval head)Type G three pin UK, Hong Kong, MaltaType I two pin angled and round head Australia, NZNo reviewers to date seem to have issues with travelling. There are always going to be some more specific places that need additional adaptors. I tried looking at reviews of multi socket adaptors with USB- they seemed to have fairly mixed user experiences and be tied to the old, lower powered USB standard.So I irritatingly bought the UK only product before...so now you don't have to miss out!

Fantastic! Very practical product to have and the price is just mind blowing. This universal European travel kit comes with an Adapter and many different heads. Very neatly packaged and it charges FAST! Comes additionally with a power fast cable.

Good set of kit for travelling though not very fast at charging my Kindle HD Fire - certainly a great deal slower than the fixed charger that came with the tablet - takes nearly 3 x as long so I'd recommend allowing plenty of time or overnight. Tested in UK and Europe ....

I travel a fair bit with work and wanted to get a dedicated charging kit for travel as oppose to owning countless multi adaptorsAs every item I have bought for the Kindle from Amazon it has been excellent quality and great to useI don't need all the plugs that come with it so usually carry one or two which has worked well and this item charges my Kindle wellIt does seem slightly expensive for what it is but I really like it and would recommend it to anyone considering one

5 stars for travelling, sturdiness and easy to use because it is great for all those aspects. However it is not a fast charger, it charges at snail pace and I wanted a fast charger. I have slow ones at home, don't need another. All the reviews that said it charges so quickly must have reviewed the wrong item. Very disappointed :(

Hab das Ladesystem für Reisen hauptsächlich in die USA und nach Thailand angeschafft. In den USA habe ich es inzwischen schon genutzt und es funktioniert alles bestens.Positiv:+ Gute Verarbeitung. Alles passt sehr gut zusammen und wackelt beim Zusammenstecken nicht herum.+ Habe beim Laden keine Überhitzung und keine Gerüche wahrgenommen.+ Das Laden von Kindle und Smartphone geht sehr schnell.Was will man mehr? :)Negativ:- Eine etwas kleiner und leichtere Lösung wäre wünschenswert. Bin aber dennoch sehr zufrieden (Update 2020: habe das Teil noch immer in Benutzung und bisher noch keinen Mangel festgestellt).War die Bewertung für Dich hilfreich? Dann würde ich mich über einen Klick auf den "Nützlich"-Button sehr freuen :)

La présentation en coffret est belle, ce qui ne gâche rien. Le kit est très complet et comprends même un câble de chargement supplémentaire vendu 9€ quand il est acheté seul. Un bon achat décidément.
