Super! The geodes are filled with sparkling crystals and so much fun to break open. The kids loved seeing what beautiful crystal landscapes were hiding inside each stone. The geodes were well packaged and came with a variety of sizes.

Great “bang for your buck”. The geodes have sparkling crystals inside which kids love. You need adult supervision when using a hammer to break them. Fun activity!

My son's girlfriend gave him one of these and when my 10yo daughter saw it she immediately asked if I could buy some. She loves sparkles and wanted to decorate her room with a bunch of pieces. I found this set of 25, and they are the best price I found.As shown in my 1st photo, most of them are pretty small. There are only 1 or 2 i would consider "large" and that's only in comparison to the rest of them. The majority are small, and are genuinely small! I haven't cracked a small one yet but I'm afraid I won't get any good pieces from them. Will update after I do. I cracked a large one and a medium sized one to get the pieces shown in my other photos. The 3 plastic display stands are just cheap little things, but they definitely help of you want to show off any pieces. The only pieces you can use on those will come from the largest rocks. Even the medium rock pieces were too small for the stands.The instructions tell you to either use a hammer, or to place in a sock and hit it on a hard surface. I couldn't crack it with a hammer at first at all. I put them inside an old sock (important because it WILL destroy the sock!) and then hit it with the hammer while inside the sock. That finally worked. It also keeps the tiny pieces from flying all over, and keeps all the pieces together so they are easier to pick up.The rocks themselves are ugly on the outside, but the crystals are the part that matters. Lol. The crystals are all clear on these. They are naturally formed in different sizes inside, so there are some areas with teeny tiny crystals that look a bit like crackle glass, and some areas with larger crystals.This is a fun project to do with children! My daughter is going to have many beautiful, sparkly crystals to decorate with! And it's cool to get to open the sock and see what you get with different rocks. I recommend this with parental supervision and help! Safety first!

Of the 25, we received 16 geodes that were large, hollow, and easily broken open by my 3-yr-old. That's less than a dollar a piece, shipped from Morocco. We're impressed! The solid geodes were interesting too once I cut them open; the tiny ones not so much.

My 5 and 7 year old love these. Smashing, hammering, finding a crystal treasure inside. What's not to love?

This is a cool gift but they are hard to break open. If you have a rock or crystal lover this is a cool gift to give. Definitely needs adult help (7 yr old). The variety was good but when they say small they are small. Overall, its a good gift idea.

I didn't read the description very well, so I didn't realize they were all going to be the same color. Regardless they turned out beautiful! I bought them for a date night idea with my boyfriend. He had never cracked one open before and on our last trip we bought duds so I was hopeful for him to break some this time. He did think it was cool, but lack of color got old sadly. I read online you can dye them so I'm going to try that. If it works, this gift give even more gift value and variety. The sizes were nice. Not too big, and not too small. Cracking them open left about the same size end results. I had purchased 2 at the time, but he said he'd random give it to his little sister for Christmas.*If the dye works I'll post a picture 👍
