Instruction can be a little bit confusing, so after reading it, you just need to play a game or two. Once you get it, it is a pretty easy game. I would recommend to play with family and friends. Maybe make it into a drinking game (everytime meteor hits, you take a drink) or somthing like that.

Bought this for Valentines Day for my husband and I first valentines as a married couple. Once you get the hang of it, it’s Very enjoyable. It was amusing to the both of us as I love Dinosaurs and he loves space. We would have won first go around if we would have remembered our special abilities! Nice game to play when you just need a night in.

As others have mentioned, the typos and inconsistencies are disappointing and confusing. That said, this is a fun game and I would recommend it in general. My family really enjoyed the game once we sorted out the purposes of wood and vines.

Our family loves board games and this one is now our favorite co-op board game. If you like Forbidden Island or any other co-op board games, you’ll love this. There is more strategy and depth to this game than your normal cookie cutter game. It took a little bit to read through all the gameplay because there many variables, cards, assests, etc that you use to navigate the game. That being said, it all together creates for a great strategic game for the family. The pieces for the game are much higher quality than other board games out there too. The gameplay is recommended for 12+ in age, but our kids are 8 and 9 and were able to understand the basics and, as a team, we were able to guide through the game together. All in all, a well put together and high quality game for the family. Highly recommended

A good and imaginative cooperative board gamewhich I think is better as a family game than for gamers. However, the very simple rulebook left out some rules, such as what happens if the meteor cards run out. However that will probably not be a problem because the game is stacked against you. That being said, this game feels very much like many other Matt Leacock inspired games. It felt alot like Forbidden Island, which I think I'd rather play. If you have kids or are relatively new to the board game hobby, then this game would be a great addition to your collection. For us, it fell a little flat, as we have played many other games that feel like this. Components and inset are great!! Good buy for the $$

Fun time!! Myself, My wife, and my 2 girls (13 and 10) loved it. It’s a coop game so we all work together to escape Earth before the meteor hits. Cute and fun concept.

It's hard to find something that everyone will put their tablets down to play... but this was it. I able to convince them to do it based on it looking like Catan. Game is farily straight forward and moves fairly fast. The earthquake cards mix up the tiles a few times so that the strategy doesnt get stale. Good game.

What a fun board game! We frequently play Ticket to Ride, Catan and its expansions, Pandemic, and more. This game fits right in! Quick to pick up and has similarities to pandemic. Many more hours to be spent on this one!

We hadn’t heard of Escaping Extinction before but we were very curious so we picked it up. We played as a family, and everyone got into it quickly with a little teamwork. The cooperative style is great: no arguments, just lots of strategy and laughs. It’s challenging without being overwhelming, and the theme really kept us all engaged. Definitely a new favourite for game nights! There is a bit of a learning curve as it is with other keyboards, but it’s not too steep.

Fun & easy co-op game to play on a rainy/ snowy day. Have played it a few times now and it’s always enjoyable. Watch for typos in the instruction manual. Wood is used for the rocket, vines are used to heal.

This game is listed as 12+, but my 11 year old had no problem picking it up. We do play a lot of games. There's something I think that's really neat about this game - it can be a one player game! Really cool. If you're looking for some help getting started, Solid Roots has a really good video on YT to get you started. In this game you begin by laying out hexagonal tiles (facedown) to create a play area. Then you shuffle the cards, observing special rules for the meteor cards. As you play, you discover what's underneath the tiles. Your dinos move around the board attempting to find parts to build a spaceship to avoid their incoming doom. I found the earthquakes amusing - you shuffle the board and it really changes up gameplay. Would highly recommend!

I recently played Escaping Extinction with my family, and it was a great experience. The game focuses on working together to save animals from extinction, and it’s both fun and educational.
