Easy to Follow Instructions - Great for Beginners
Amigurumi Plushies is a great book for me because I like to keep busy while watching television in the evenings. The patterns in this book are very easy to follow; the photographs and the text are very detailed. Although patterns are written with a suggested hook size and yarn preference (chunky), I made my projects with 4ply acrylic yarn and a 3.125 sized hook. These plushies come together really fast; I can usually complete one in an evening. My projects are small and fit in my hand. I've gift them to friends and family and everyone loves to receive them. Every project I've made from this book has turned out really cute.

Great even for beginners!
This book is great! I made the moose from this book and it is absolutely adorable! I am a beginner at crochet (moose was my 4th thing ever made) and this book was perfect!

take along crochet
these are so take along, appointments and car rides and not time consuming. they are a perfect size in recommended hook size- not too tiny. yet not so big that you cant tuck them back into the bag. some offer more then one color pattern which makes it fun.

Easy and Cute
I am pretty to to crocheting and I am finding these easy to do. Also they are coming out super cute. I may decide to make all of them. I will come back and load pictures later. I have done the duck, jellyfish, and octopus. In process of giraffing. I used a 4mm crochet hook and beginner yarn #4 medium so mine are a little smaller and not as fluffy, but I am a beginner and #4 yarn is cheaper. Also, I stuff them with old torn up t shirts. I am cheap.

First pattern, Panda, found small issue
For the author: on page 88 (in the ear portion of the pattern) It says to sew the ears on both sides of the head between rounds four and nine. But the picture referenced, number five, shows the ear seen beginning at round 3. I’ve zoomed in on several images and found the same.Another thought: after getting to the end of the head section (on the last row)- I did have to pull out all of the stuffing and that last row of stitches in order to be able to reach in and sew the eyes and muzzle, the eyebrows and the nose.I’ll have to go back and remember to do that last row again before stuffing. Perhaps the head section should be in two parts? Work until row below the cheeks, then do eyes, muzzle, checks, eyebrows and ears, then part 2 of head. This is the first pattern I’ve tried in the book so far and I am still working on the ears. It would be helpful to know how many stitches should be between the ears, but I’ll make my best guess. :)I’m not upset. I’m sure your pattern testers are more experienced with plushies than I am.

Very cute patterns
It took me out of comfort zone to work with #6 chenille yarn, bit it's coming along nicely. See the photo of a dolphin in progress.
