Doesn’t get much better than this!
Near-flawless, works excellently with the vast majority of my PC library!! (Resident Evil: Village, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition, DOOM 2016, Batman: Arkham City and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, just to name a few)I absolutely recommend this beauty, even if you usually prefer a wireless controller…don’t underestimate the Duchess!!!

Just as good as it's grandchildren
If you played the Xbox Original 2000 model you'd love this! Dead zones are spot on!

Really nice replica so far. Hope it holds up
This was the controller I used on my first console, at least the one I didn't have to share. My uncle did have the original bigger controller also, the Duke so I used that too growing up as well.Ido also own the Hyperkin version of the Duke. I decided to put that back in the box to conserve it though and use the DuchesS now.It seems an exact replica although I can't compare it physically. The best parts for me are the analog sticks but also the RB and LB buttons. They're very nice to click in and the best shape I have had on a controller. These were not on the original.I play lots of souls-likes and this shape is a bit easier to use than the bigger duke. Although it doesn't have the Xbox start up animation like the DUKE's centre button. Worth the price in my opinion. Seems well built and no issue connecting it to my PC.

Great replica, for better and for worse. MAYBE unsuitable as a "daily driver" UPDATE: No Support
UPDATE 1: Three Stars: Woke up one morning and the left stick wouldn't register UP or DOWN but would register left/right. You are on your own outside of Amazon's 30-day protection, as Hyperkin say they can only replace faulty hardware in the US.UPDATE 2: Four Stars: Amazon UK graciously gave me a refund.ORIGINAL: Five Stars. I bought this to replace my official pad that gave up.The DuchesS is almost a perfect 1:1 recreation of the original S controller. It is updated to include two large 'clicky' shoulder buttons that mirror the functional Black and White buttons. (The original memory card slots are gone)It's pleasingly weird to have the fantastic, sensitive Hall effect sticks on a "old pad" making my offical modern Xbox pads sticks seem old and cheeky. That being said 20 years is a long time in ergonomics and the pad "expects" you to be resting your index fingers on the triggers instead of the shoulder buttons like modern controllers. It can get a "bit much" if you need to access both triggers and bumpers at the same time. It can get uncomfortable in long sessions with modern games. Died a few times in starfield because of the extra moment to take my thumb off the L Stick and press the menu button buried under my plam. So it should be factored in when buying that most modern games weren't design with the Dutchess in mind. The detachable USB cable feels nice and chunky, I have no doubts about connectivity and love that it detaches from the pad so I can replace it if it gets damaged.Additional: if Hyperkin ever add Hall sticks to their 360 remake, I'd buy that day 1.

A controller held back.
Purely as a classic controller, it works.Feels fantastic in the hands. But if you wanted to have custom mapped buttons, in particular, the Bumper buttons on the right hand side. they are hardwired with the bumper buttons, change LB or RB and the two on the panel face are also changed.

Old school memories, but doesn't cut it today, unfortunately.
It's a product of it's time, faithful to the Duke controller. But it's exactly the same as the original controller including the flaws, has d-pad drift and it very clunky to use I used it for two weeks and gave up with it.Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh but I'm currently using the Razer Wolverine 2 and it's like night and day compared the Duchess pad. 3/10

Feels like the original controller
Bought this controller as it was the first console i owned and had 2 of these S controllers and it feels exactly how i remembered them. Super easy to setup just plug in just a shame the home button isnt annimated like the duke but for under £50 i cant complain about anything else but that.
