Kinyanco 2-Pack NES Controller for NES 8 Bit Entertainment System Console Control Pad Replacement Controllers

These controllers are for the 1980's NES. They were delivered as a pair, each individually packaged in bubble wrap and in its own box. The controllers feel lighter and more fragile than the originals, but the form factor is the same and feels familiar in your hands. Other reviews mention that the controller does not stay connected to the machine. I think there is some variation in the fit. The plug that goes into the machine does not have as secure a fit as I would like, but it does stay in place. I tested them out as follows:- Super Mario Bros 2: no lag, D-pad seems more sensitive than I remember but I think the controller works fine- RC Pro AM: no lag, D-pad more sensitive, but good response- NARC: no lag good response- Bad Dudes: seemed to be some lag and some hesitation in response to the button presses. Might have just been that the NES port was shittier than I remember- Tetris: no lag, but I saw a problem with the Down button on D-pad of one of the controllers. The game would not consistently recognize holding down the Down button to slam the brick in place. Second controller was fine.- Double Dragon: no lag, both controllers fineAfter trying out the controllers on these games, I decided that I was satisfied with the working controller and would try to get a good pair. I sent the pair back and rolled the dice on re-ordering another set. I received it next day and verified both controllers worked on all the previous games mentioned, as well as Nintendo Golf and Contra. For some reason though, the Contra Code required an extra B-A press before Start, but it did work.So I do recommend purchasing this set of controllers, but be aware of the quality control issues on the plug fit and the D-pad response. Definitely try out a few different style games before you get attached to them.

Does not work as good as the original Nintendo controllers. I would love to find a better replacement option. I went back to the old controllers after using this one for a few weeks. The buttons are sometimes unresponsive. It would be nice the cord was a foot longer.I would not buy this product again.

So much easier to get Mario and Luigi to go where I want them to go with these controllers. the set that came with our NES system had extra buttons and needed a heavy touch to get mario to jump or turn around. These are the perfect sensitivity and as easy to use as my originals when I had NES as a kid. Now my son is playing and my daughter thinks she's playing with the extra controller. I finally made it to Level 4. It's my life goal to beat 8-4.

I found my old NES with no controllers... these brought back that nostalgic memory and felt as it did 25+ years ago 😂😂 and the only reason it gets a 3 on the cord.. the cord was ALWAYS too short.. but packaging, condition, buttons, reaction, everything else about the controller was perfect.

Cord is really short i had to purchase an extension cable.The buttons are a little more responsive than the original 30 year old controllers they replaced. I was expecting improved response times between button press and reaction on the screen.
