My daughter is the most difficult person for me to buy for. She's recently gotten interested in developing water-color painting ability. And she lives a high-stress, high achievement life. It so was so gratifying to see her face light up when she unwrapped this --and the awesome brush set I got to go with. With this she can practice her water-painting type skills while enjoying a nice Zen soothing, satisfying experience.

My granddaughter got it for Christmas and loves it. Awesome how she can draw on it then you just let it dry and she can draw some more.

This water write cloth is absolutely fun to use! I am taking watercolor classes and I wanted to simply practice brush strokes. It works amazingly well and I have even used it for doodling while on the phone or such. As described, the cloth gets wet when applying with a wet brush and then dries within minutes! I love it!

This is a beautiful item. The blue brocade cover makes it look very rich. I bought this as a gift for a friend who used to love to paint but has stopped doing so lately because she didn’t have the time for it. She was very excited to receive this because it will now allow her to doodle without worrying about how perfect or imperfect her drawings are.The only thing to know is that it does not come with brushes or a pot for water. However, the item has a hollow cylinder that can store brushes. I assumed it came with brushes but I can see now that the brushes are not mentioned in the product description. This was not a big deal for my friend because she already has brushes. However, it is something to keep in mind if figuring this to a new calligrapher or painter. My friend has already thanked me for it three separate times and is looking forward to using it.

I got this for my kiddo as a means to have a bit more control over the painting situation. They are a free spirit when painting and tends to paint everywhere. This is actually a pretty good remedy, especially since my little one likes to paint mostly with black anyway. Even if a mess is made, it is just water, so cleanup is easy. They can take this into any room and not have to be excluded from any spaces where the rest of the family might be cohabitating for the moment. This is actually really good to travel with too. Since it rolls up, it can be tucked in a side pocket. It allows my little one to do one of their favorite activities without the mess. This way, I don't have to worry about stains on hotel carpets, walls, or beds. Get yourself a water brush to use with this and you've got yourself a perfect setup; no water cup with spills and the water brush allows for minimized water flow so you have reduced puddling. Love this!

I want to practice my calligraphy without wasting paper and ink. This water write cloth is amazing - just soak in water, wait 3 minutes and use a brush with no ink to practice your writing. where your brush touches the wet cloth will turn black. Once the cloth is dry, the writing goes away!This is so eco-friendly too! Love how elegant it looks with the red brocade cloth.
