HMMMMMM a throw away at a keeper price!
I own 2 of these and have already repaired one of them. As for quality it is less than some of the same priced japan indicators. I believe this is a German made indicator. Good for machine setups or noncritical measuring. Costing more than double of some of the throw away indicators it is not a rare bargain. Amazon's own premium brass indicator falls into that category. (see my review else where.) I would have to say that a budget minded person can get a better indicator for less money else wheres.

Missing Backplate Attachment
Indicator works fine, but they don't come with any attachments to mount on a stand. Makes them mostly useless unless you can adapt them with others you own. Very disappointing.

Good value for the money
For a budget item, this gauge works very nicely & I've already put it to use in several projects. It's got a plastic back, where I wish it had metal; but that's a quibble given the excellent price.
