Beautiful Bonsai!!!
I wanted to give it a couple weeks to see how it was working out before I left a review. I didn't have such great luck with my first cutting but that was my fault and my first lesson in NEVER USE MIRACLE GROW. This is going to be such a beautiful tree! The growth on it so far is just amazing! Just see for yourself in the photos I'm attaching. I started it in water just as they said two on the enclosed instructions. I may have cheated a little I used a rooting hormone after noticing just some bumps but no roots protruding yet. It definitely took off after that. I'm keeping it under a grow light on a seed heating mat. I ordered the Fox farm Ocean Forest soil and that's currently what it's in. The instructions say you cannot over water this and I have been taking advantage of that, lol. I probably just water it once a day, maybe twice if it's feeling on the dryer side because between the grow light and the heat mat it does go through moisture quicker. I also have it in a very small pot to prevent it from sitting in too much soggy soil until a good root system gets established. I also used Myco Supreme when I first planted it in the pot. The bonsai all-purpose soil that CZ Grain sells is also really good. With some of my other plans they seem very happy and it is a very well draining soil You don't have to worry about water logging or root rot. But to provide even better aeration I mix Bonsai Jack's Gritty Mix with the CZ Grain and that's what one of my other bonsai is in. Thanks CZ Grain!

I don’t think I’d purchase again
Unfortunately I ordered this along with 2 others. I ordered the weeping willow, wisteria, and green geisha. The only one that ever produced roots was the geisha , the others never sprouted any form of roots. The picture is also misleading, because it present the idea that their cuttings that already have leaves. Which isn’t the case. Overall I’m super disappointed. The ones I wanted to grow the most didn’t even root sadly. Not sure if they used hormone rooting gel even. I’ve grown 100’s of bonsai over the years, and I’ve only had issues like this a few times before. Just sucks because I really waited ever since I bought them thinking eventually they would show signs of roots.

Growing
They rooted in a glass of water next to my plant light and the larger one rooted well and started making branches and the smaller one started rooting too so I put them in bonsai soil - crossing my fingers they stay alive. But the leaves are green and not like a willow at all. Maybe it will change as it grows?

Tried planting it finally died
grew great in water had lots of roots tree sprouted 2 branches, planted it and it had died almost, I put it back in water. Its growing again, But I'm not sure what to do? If I plant, it again will it die again. I am glad someone has good luck with it. Not that easy. I have a green Thumb. But this tree is not that easy to grow. What is the secret.? It died, ordered plant sole for the tree, planted it in the special sole to promote roods and it died. waste of money.

Pretty good product
I only give it a 3 star only because out of three stems only one grew

Follow the video instructions
12/08/25; Arrived well packed for delivery; watched the video to make sure it grows; I have to wait to see for roots develope over time; I suggest you use latex gloves to prevent oils from your hand damaging it; I really don't know if I'm suppose to use rain, fountain, or distilled water

I have roots!
Received 3 cuttings, all three have grown roots. Have them sitting in a glass jar, south facing window, on a plant heating pad - it is winter and the room temperature stays mostly below 50 degrees fahrenheit. Directions say no miracle grow - I did use a root starter powder but not the miracle grow brand and so far so good.
