Connections Matter. AHHH!
You may scream like I did. TL;DR - The hookup has to be exactly right to work. Besides the issue described below, it works very well. The cables are sturdy and it works perfect after the correct configuration is in place.Storytime:I have it switching between a work and personal computer. Both computers (1 Mac, 1 Windows) feed into a dock that handles all my peripherals. HDMIx2, keyboard, mouse, and USB headphones. In order to connect it to my dock, I needed to buy a female to female USB-C connector. This is where the issues began, but by the end you’ll see they are easy to fix.On initial hookup nothing worked. Only the lights on the device would switch. I trouble shot and got one computer connect through the dock. Tried to add a second, no bueno. Frustrated I looked through the reviews to find an answer. Nothing. I noticed the couplers I bought were not indicating power, they have small leds on them. Read the reviews there and for that product and found the issue. Both the switch, and the USB-C require very specific connection. This means that I had to rotate the USB-C connector and the cables coming from the computer to the dock. Not only were my couplers the issue, the cables had to be rotated in some instances. It took some trial and error but it finally worked. I marked all the connection with 1 dot to show which way was up and then 2 dots to indicate signal flow. The USB-C connectors are made by Poyiccot and are purple. They are available from Amazon.

Works as advertised! Highly Recommended.
Works flawlessly. The remote is an added bonus. I love that it came with 2 hefty, high quality USB-C cables. This device is very easy to use, and has an led indicator so you know which port is active. This device is definitely worth the money.I have 2 / 2k monitors hooked up to a high end USB4 hub. All the accessories switch over almost immediately when the switch is changed from one computer to the other. With windows OS, the screens do flicker for a few seconds while connecting, but this is completely normal behavior that happens when you hookup up a monitor to your computer even without this switch.

Works great with macOS and Dell U3224KB
I purchased this for use with two MacBooks, an Air and a Pro, connected to a U3224KB, which also works as a USB hub. The "single cable Thunderbolt lifestyle" is amazing - one cable gets me Ethernet, power, a webcam, and a bunch of USB ports. The one thing keeping this from being a perfect product is that power can only be passed to a single computer at a time. It would be really nice to have a version of this switch where power could be sent directly to the switch and passed to both computers regardless of whether they are selected. There actually is a power port, but it's meant for 5V to power the switch, not as passthrough for USB PD.

Doesn't work with Dell laptop and HP docking station
I'm using a HP and a Dell laptop with a HP docking station (upc 195161120916). The setup with this device works fine with the HP but will not with the Dell. (The Dell does work with the HP dock without this switch when physically move the cable from one PC to another). I wish it did work, but alas, I need to return for my configuration. I think it will work well with other setups...just not this one.

The remote sucks and the cables are short.
The remote sucks. It burns through the battery faster than an AirTag, it is difficult to change out the battery and the protocol is unable to be transferred to a universal remote. If anyone knows a way to switch the power supply I'd love to hear it. At this point I'm planning to dismantle the remote and find a new housing for the whole thing.Because the cables are so short if you use this on an Apple Studio display you will spend most of your time getting up to go behind the screen to press the button instead of using the dead remote on your desk. I read the reviews and accepted the remote was going to suck however I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to have the physical switch somewhere close on my desk.It works well for hook up two Macs to a Studio display. I have tried it with an M1 Mac Book Pro, M1 Ultra Studio and an M4 Mac Mini.

I like the orange sticker
dude, this just works. My Want: Something like the KVMs of old to allow me two switch between 2 PCs and 1 Monitor, but with ThunderBolt so there are less wiresMy setup:Dell 3224KB 6K 32" monitor with keyboard and mouse connected into the monitor.MacBook Air M1 on the leftMacBook Pro M3 on the rightBefore: I would clumsily disconnect the TB4 cable from one laptop to the other, concerned that every time I flexed that overpriced apple TB cable - I was one day closer to having to buy a replacement. Now: That same TB cable now connects monitor to the switch & I use the two TB cables to each laptop. To switch, I push the button. And best of all, I'm no longer worried about adding wear & tear to the ThunderBolt cablesWeird gripe: Apparently people don't like the orange sticker. I don't care, it's going to be on mine until I need to recycle the device. But it does have some useful information, particularly if you don't have enough power from your monitor or devices that you will need to connect a 5v USB-C to power it. The strange thing is - I only needed it the first time I used it. After that I unplugged it and everything continued to work and was fine ¯\\(ツ)/¯
