I really like these. We are in the process of renovating our kitchen so I bought these to blend in with our soon to be grey tiled walls. They are a matt gunmetal colour which also goes well with our cupboard handles. 5 were too many for our needs (who needs 5 charging points in one room?!) so I've used the spare ones in the play room and beside the bed.

JIMEIDA Black Double Switched Power Socket 5 Pack 13 Amp with USB-A And Type-C Charging Ports .... This is a pack of 5 UK 3-pin double sockets with an integral USB power supply. They come boxed but unfortunately there are no instructions or specifications included and so the only specification for the USB sockets is what can be found in the listing or the simple sticker on the back. The switches are dual ganged, in that they switch both live and neutral wiring with a solid feel to their action. This is the first type I have had that incorporate USB-C as well as USB-A, which is great as most cables I have are now USB-C. These do not have a PD (Power Delivery) function though and are limited to the 5V and the listed current (3.1amps shared). The quality of the socket is quite good, a bit light but there is a metal shield around the front which is earthed. The front panel is plastic (PC, which I assume is Polycarbonate), but has a black matt metallic look which is quite nice. Although the connections at the rear are marked, it can be a little difficult to see which is which, so have a look in a good strong light before fitting. Also note that due to them having the built-in USB power supply, these are quite deep and require a deeper back box than a normal twin socket would. I quite like these sockets, they are marked as BS1363 compliant, easy to fit, have USB-A and C power and look very smart. Not bad for just over £10 per double socket.

Safety warning – not suitable for UK fixed wiring. These sockets are marked BS 1363 and UKCA, but their internal construction does not match normal UK BS 1363 double-socket practice. **The two earth terminals are not internally bonded.** In UK installations, double sockets are designed so that earth continuity between outlets is maintained internally, without relying on installer-added links. With this product, if only one circuit protective conductor (earth) is connected, the other outlet is left unearthed. This can result in loss of earth continuity, particularly on ring final circuits, and would present a shock risk when Class I appliances (metal-cased equipment) are used. For this reason, these sockets are not appropriate for UK fixed wiring, despite the markings.

Absolute rubbish ,I bought 2 and both of them when you plug in the C to C cable it would charge a few minutes then stop then start charging and stop ,the electrician says nothing he can do .for the price I’m really disappointed
