The kit arrived today and all items were present but not necessarily as described in the advert. The supplied sdcard is 32GB when the ad says it's 128GB and the picture in the ad shows 64GB. That sdcard is complete rubbish, even when installed in a working sdcard->USB adapter you can only read from it at 5MB/s. The supplied USB->sdcard adapter is broken and just gives I/O errors even when used with known-good sdcards. A working Samsung Evo 64GB sdcard that can be read at 95MB/s on a different adapter only gives I/O errors when used with the supplied adapter. Of the items in this kit, the rpi5 was good, still sealed in its box, the PSU was an EU one but I was aware that it might not be a UK one, the case is good, the sdcard is useless and the sdcard USB adapter looks cool but does not work correctly. The HDMI cable is an unknown quantity so far.

Received as expected and as described. All are working so far as much as we've tested.

Ho acquistato questo Starter Kit Raspberry Pi 5 da 8 GB in sostituzione di un PI 4 per installare Home Assistant ed è stata una vera svolta. Il Raspberry Pi 5 è una scheda potente: il processore quad-core da 2.4 GHz e gli 8 GB di RAM permettono di gestire anche applicazioni complesse senza rallentamenti. Il kit include tutto il necessario: alimentatore ufficiale da 27W, case con ventola, scheda microSD da 128 GB, lettore USB, dissipatore in alluminio e cavo micro HDMI 4K. Ho apprezzato molto il fatto che sia pronto all’uso, senza dover cercare componenti separati. L’installazione è stata semplice, e ho subito caricato Raspberry Pi OS. Lo uso per gestire Home Assistant, monitorare sensori ZigBee e anche come piccolo server per backup.
