Case-Mate iPhone 6 Plus Tough - Black/Black

This case is 90% perfect, but that 10% is a big one. Nice feel and grip but a little less grippy than I would have thought for a textured rubbery shell. Nice sleek metal buttons that work easily. The case back, top, and sides are perfect. The 10% problem is the flimsy thin strip of rubber/TPU that is the only thing protecting the middle third of the bottom of the phone. That lip only has a flimsy piece that will move with the slightest pressure, so a fall on the bottom edge will definitely contact the actual bottom of the phone in the middle. The sides of the bottom are better protected bc the TPU inner part is thicker there (the middle is so thin bc the cutout for the lightning plug is way to wide). I wish the hard outer shell covered at least part of the bottom (ideally all) rather than stop at the bottom corners. So close to being a perfect not bulky but very all around protcetive case. Now I am looking for a case that has better bottom protection, but still is not bulky and also has a nice grip for this bigger phone. So close...

Great case. I like the textured feel because it makes it easier to hold a larger phone. It also keeps the phone from sliding out of your pocket. I agree with the last reviewer that the bottom is the only negative. The piece that is below the home button is flimsy with nothing to support it. Seems like it could break off. Also, the case covers up one of the speaker holes. Seems to me a better design would be for that piece to be moved inward on both sides which would provide more support for the part under the home button. If it wasn't for that, I would give the case a solid 5 stars.

This case comes so close to getting 5 stars from me. The choice of material and the protection offered are just right--but I have one complaint: the bottom of the case is poorly designed. The divider between the cable port and speaker covers up part of the speaker instead of separating the two, and the opening for the cable is so wide that the integrity of the whole bottom is compromised. The thin strip along the bottom lip feels weak and often pops loose when holding the phone one handed. If they had designed this opening to be smaller and more solid, I would look no further for an iPhone 6 Plus case. As it is, however, it feels uncomfortable in my hand, so I'll be looking for something else.

Solid case except for the bottom. Partly covers the speakers. Not sure how much the bottom will hold up with time or drops but nonetheless feels solid. It is also a thick case and is heavy. Not slim by any means. Debating whether I want to use this or the apple leather case. The case mate does provide more peace of mind from drops. Backing is a little slippery.

This is the best iPhone 6 plus I have purchased. Case mate cases allow you to put the phone on a charger without removing the case. I have a naked tough but it's too slippery and I also bought the case mate carbon, looks great but it's a bit bulky and slippery. The tough is the best case mate cover I have found.

I like the protection it offers, but without the bulkiness of other cases. I don't like the flimsy bottom portion of the case. I'm talking about the strip that runs under the round button at the base of the iPhone. It's very flimsy and every time I push the button it flexes and moves. It just feels like one day soon it will tear and ruin the integrity of the structure of the case.

Absolutely the best iPhone 6+ case on the market, in my opinion. The textured back gives you a lot more grip without adding a ton of extra size to the phone. Buttons also feel snappy (volume, power, etc), so there's no mushy buttons like there have been with some of the recent OtterBox cases (at least as of last year). I don't buy cases from anyone but Case-Mate now.

Dont expect serious drop protection.-Material around speaker/lightning/headphone ports dig into your fingers when holding it a certain way-Inner shell is not dense like TPU in other cases.
