Great power for the AM4 socket
This processor brought life back into my system. It gave it that extra boost needed to keep up with today's apps and games. It's probably the most power AM4 processor available. It plays all of my games with great performance. It has no problems staying cool during even the most daunting tasks, and I don't even have liquid cooling. It was a great price and the stability is typical AMD.

Honest 5900XT review
The 5900XT is a great GPU, the 16 cores and 32 threads make my system extremely fast at processing Adobe After Effects, as well as Photoshop.Unfortunately the power of it has a downfall that you need an AIO or powerful aircooler, I own a Corsair H100i RGB and it idles at 50C and maxes out at 76C.I would say the amount of power it has the price is just perfect, compared to the 5950X.With my 5900XT, RTX 4060, and 64G’s of ram, it runs around 400-500 FPS on Fortnite on Performance in 1440p, and pushes 900 in Roblox games, overall I would definitely recommend this CPU to gamers, developers, and workstations.

A valid CPU
I really can't complain about this CPU.I have been using AMD CPUs for years now and I have to tell you that for video editing and multimedia work they are fantastic CPUs.Happy with the purchase I suggest you buy a liquid cooling kit and you will have a lot of satisfaction for a few more years.

Nice CPU for the money
I think my main concern in relation to this item is whether or not this is actually a previously returned item. The CPU was shipped inside a paper pouch instead of a box. It got lost for two days and when it got here whatever it went through either tore that tamper seal or this was used which is not reflected in the sales link. I made sure to check all the pins very closely. Everything was in good shape and there was no sign of paste as if it had been installed before. As to performance this thing is darned powerful. A lot of people call this a 5950 (non X) in that it is barely 3% slower than its higher line (and price) brother in the 5950X. Not really sure why AMD opted to go with a naming pattern that would seem to indicate it being a 12C/24T CPU rather than the 16C/32T that it is.Functionally I am seeing speeds from around base clock up to 4.8GHz. It is currently under a cooler that really isn't up to the task but even so it hasn't gone above the mid 70's even in synthetic testing. During games it typically hovers right around 70C. I have not taken the time to do anything with PBO or voltage adjustments. I felt it was best to keep it stock for a while to be sure no issues arise. It does a terrific job with all the games I have thrown at it. I expect that once I update the build to the graphics card and power supply I have in mind that the cooler will also have to be updated to something more suitable.

Cooler upgrade needed don't use stock cooler or you get throttling
Works great in my am4 MB but I ended up needing to upgrade the stock cooler
