Lovely, and easy to fit
I bought myself a new Lamy Safari, and within a week I managed to misjudge a distance, and rammed the nib into a hard wooden surface. I replaced the destroyed nib with the one off my old Lamy, the one I had replaced, but it scratched and caught, so I bought this. Happy, fluent, fast, writing is restored! I sit in panels and can take reams of notes, and using this keeps them legible, and allows me to keep a decent set of notes. Getting the "rammed on" nib off was a real challenge - but it had been jammed into soemthing very hard. Getting this one on was a doddle.

A fine nib, but there's no difference between this and the medium one.
I bought this to go on my Lamy Safari which came with a medium nib. I bought them at the same time. I planned to use this fine nib to write small notes in the margin and to draw diagrams with. However, there is no difference between this nib and the medium nib - not the ones that I have, anyway. I like to write with a generous nib and have found the medium unsatisfactory and certainly not a medium nib in comparison with other fountain pens I have. So I have bought a bold nib, which is great to write with, but is a little wider than I would like! Thus I'm not really very happy because I now have a fine nib that's the same as the medium nib (so it's superfluous to requirements), and it seems I can't get a nib the size I'd like. I shall try buying another medium nib to see if I just got a mislabelled one. I hope Lamy might read this and come up with a proper medium nib if my problem is a known issue.Width aside, these nibs are very easy to slide on and off to change and they last well. I write most of the time with fountain pens and do appreciate being able to swap the nibs so easily (although do use a bit of kitchen paper to save getting ink on your fingers). So, to sum up, you really might not need this nib at all if you're already using a medium one.

Good nib
Great nib for my year 4 son's fountain pen he uses at school. He finds it so much easier to write with this A nib than with a normal M nib.

Clearly not new, and not working properly.
This was clearly not a new nib, as it had dried ink on it, and was obviously dull/tarnished compared to my other Lamy nibs. I am a fan of reuse/recycling, so decided to hold on to it. However, it just doesn't write as smoothly as my other medium Lamy pen/nib. I'd bought this to replace a fine nib, but I'll go back to the fine one now, and put this in the bin...

Perfect for Lamy Vista
Bought for a Lamy Vista - Perfect fitDidn’t arrive in a blister pack but is stamped with Lamy and EFBlack in colourEasy to remove my “fine” nib and replace with the EF nib - you literally just have to (gently ) pull one off and slide the other on. Lots of videos on you tube of how to do it if you get stuck. (Tip - do it somewhere where it is safe to spill ink, for example the kitchen sink)I found a definite difference in line width between my fine and this new extra fine as can be seen in the photo. All nibs/ ink feathered slightly in the width test but that’s due to the (non wood based) paper I used, not the nib itself. On the TR paper In my journal it writes perfectly. At first after fitting the pen wouldn’t write, I simply ran my finger down the top of the nib to draw the ink down and it worked.Comparison with others: The line width compared well with TWSBI EF and the pilot Kaküno F. Just a hair’s breadth thicker than the TWSBI and almost identical as the Kaküno.I’m a genuine buyer and this is an honest review. I hope it has been helpful to you.
