Exceeded Expectation
The post bases were exactly as promised. They look great, are heavier duty than I expected, and came with all of the necessary hardware, including a wrench. These will work great for the foundation of my corner posts for a new outdoor living area.

Great value! Has all you need to attach.
Out of pure procrastination, I don't usually leave reviews, but with this product, I just had to do it! I'd give more stars if I could. Usually when I have a project like this I spend too much time at Lowe's or Home Depot looking for the attaching bracket and then all of the hardware to go with it, while also hoping I bought the right sizes, and don't have to run back out. This came with pretty much everything I needed for probably cheaper than I could have bought it for at the big box hardware store. Brackets are well built, sturdy, and all the hardware is included... Whether or not you're attaching to wood or concrete. Once I had these on hand it was a quick install. Great job to the seller. I would definitely buy these again! My only complaint is I could only buy them by fours. I only need three but it was still cheaper to do it this way then do it locally. Plus, again, it had everything I need.

Wish they sold singles
I needed 5 so I had to buy 8. I like these post bases because they are tall for better post stability and they keep the wood posts off the concrete about 1/2” which helps to reduce wood rot. All 8 bases were in good shape and I had no problems with the welded flanges coming off like other reviewers have experienced.Note lumber expands when wet so if you buy air-dried posts they will be a tight fit in the bases. I had to knock each post down about 1/2" before they bottomed out. Air-dried lumber is the stuff that’s usually wet to the touch and greenish in color when you buy it. Kiln-dried lumber cost a little more but it’s contracted back to its original size by the time you buy it. Kiln-dried posts will be a little loose in the bases which allows for easier plumbing of the posts.Exterior concrete is usually poured with a slope for water runoff. I had to shim several bases to get them level and plumb. I used plastic horseshoe shims (see pic). A 1/16” shim doesn’t seem like a lot but it makes a big difference on a 5’ high post. The included hardware includes plated sleeve anchors. Sleeve anchors are not meant to be used in concrete; they are meant for hollow-wall installation such as brick and block. They will work but you probably won’t get all of them to grab properly and they’ll keep pulling the anchor out while you tighten it down. Also, plated steel will rust. The best anchors for concrete are STAINLESS STEEL WEDGE anchors. Also, the included wood screws are not rustproof. Hardware for exterior use should be either galvanized or stainless steel. In one picture you’ll see a little surface rust around a washer. This is from scratching the coating off the base during installation. This shows the bases themselves are not rustproof once the coating is disturbed. I’ll touch them up with black Rustoleum paint. Not that it matters but I’m a retired Master Marble Mason and 4th generation Journeyman Stone Mason. I’ve installed thousands of concrete anchors in my life.

Just right when you can’t dig a hole
We screwed these into the edge of an old concrete pad. The 4x4 weather-treated fence posts fit perfectly.A bonus is screw holes inside the base. (I snapped off too many concrete bolts screwing into bolts into the flanges. Totally my fault. Also I could add extra screws at gate posts.)I also liked that these bases seemed taller than others.

Very pleased
I bought these to use temporary as a support to tear down a patio overhang and I honestly thought they would be crappy and I didn’t really care because I just needed them very fast and thought I would throw away but when I received them they were made very nice with good looking welds. When i purchased I didn’t pay attention to see they came with so much hardware and I was surprised when i opened the package. Seller appears to take pride in product and it shows. It even came with a nice wrench unlike the really cheap flat ones you usually get that hurts your hands. Great product and great seller. If you complain about these your either their competitor or something is wrong with you and you complain about everything.

My deck posts look great!
So glad we found this product. The thickness and durability is amazing. It makes our deck posts look finished, just like we had hoped. The fit was great!
