Get oil-filled pressure gauges whenever you can it is worth it for accuracy and dependability. They don't freeze and corrode! Just get these and make your work more professional and lasting!

I bought four of these for measuring water pressure at various points in a system. The first thing I did was to qualify their consistency. The readings vary from one gauge to another. Under identical pressures they say 35, 36, 35, 38 lbs. Knowing this I was able to make use of the gauges by making the mental adjustments for the inconsistency between the gauges. I don't need accuracy, I need consistency. The individual gauges seem reliable and the oil filled gauge does dampen vibrations. They work for me but if I needed the actual pressure these would not do. EDIT January 2023: After 3+ years service two of the gauges started dripping slowly. I bought more of the same to replace them. For the price I feel I got fair value.
