The Pelican 70 cooler is legit.
The Pelican 70 cooler is legit. It kept ice for a full 8 days on a boat in the sun, which is seriously impressive. I highly recommend it—this thing smoked our comparable Yeti in performance. If you're looking for a cooler that delivers, this is the one to get.

Deceivingly poor ice retention considering how well insulated it appears to be.
It's a nice cooler, fine for a weekend camping trip or a long road trip. I was disappointed in the ice retention time. For as much insulation as it appears to have, it's lackluster in performance. Again, fine for a picnic or a one night camping trip, but after day 2, you'll be looking for more ice.

Fantastic cooler
While these coolers are a A little heavier than regular Coolers because the inside panels are so thick they are well worth the money. Even in three digit temperatures things stay cold.

It leaked the first time used!
This cooler is very roomy and kept a week’s worth of groceries cold; however, I didn’t expect it to leak from the drain. This was an expensive cooler and I had high expectations about performance. I was disappointed to find the interior cab of my new truck soaked from the cooler being stored there. The drain spot was tightly closed, but there was leaking around the spout from where it attaches to the cooler. I’m very disappointed, this isn’t worth the expense… go with the yeti!

Built like a tank
Awesome cooler, great latches with a button, Great handles, it’s heavy though. Paid $267 for it. I think that’s a decent deal. Built to last and it looks like it and feels like it. I think i received a display model but it’s in perfect condition, can’t complain.

It's a fine cooler
Used for a 5 day camping trip this summer. I put frozen water bottles in the bottom and was careful to keep the cooler out of the sun and limit opening, but still had to add ice a couple times. The cooler is heavy when empty and I expected it to maintain ice better that it did. I am not dissatisfied, but question if the cost was worth it.
