This is not the most compact or lightest umbrella, but it doesn't claim to be. it is still portable enough, even if a bit heavy but that's inevitable because what we get here is very strong Teflon material on a solid fold out frame. So, weight will be a necessary compromise. As shown in my video, the umbrella opens out and closes in with ferocious speed. They feel solid. I have not yet had a very rainy day to test it, though. When that day comes, I will update this review.

Mine came with an unattached rod and when it opened it didn't flip the right way round but popped up as if the wind had blown it the wrong way

Came in so handy with this varied weather we seem to be having right now.The only reason for four stars is the size of it. For keeping in my bag for just incase it’s a bit big and heavy.Then again as it’s sturdier windy days are easily coped with and no blowing inside out of it.Auto up and down just press button so that’s always better than not especially if having hand mobility issues.Choice of colours the blue one I have is good in the fact that any one of us hubby or myself can use it.Brolly currently now sat in my car awaiting time it’s needed for when out and about. At least no stupid wind blown inside out misshaped brolly in a wind.
