Easy to Install
It was easy to set up on the PC we already built. It did short a few times, maybe because we also kept the original power button on, but we took it off and only had the external one plugged in and it no longer shorted. I have the button under my desk so that my cats don’t press it and turn it off/on accidentally. We set these up for both PCs and it works perfectly. Since the price of these are relatively cheap, I’d continue to do this for any future builds.

EXTERNAL PC POWER SWITCH
I bought this external PC power switch to replace an old switch I have been using for years. My old switch started only working once in a while to not working at all. This switch was easy to install on my computers front panel connector on my motherboard. It took me about two minutes to install it because I have built my last two computers so I already knew how to hook it up. There are instructions included that explain how to hook it up. I am using my switch on my desk so I will not be using the self stick tape it comes with. It works great as far as turning on my computer. I'm glad I bought this external PC Power Switch and highly recommend it.

This is necessary if you have cats
So our cat decided to figure out how to turn off the computer for attention. She found the orginal button and has been causing havoc ever since. This button was a game changer. We moved it to the front of the case instead of the top and we no longer have any issues with a terroristic cat. Took 5 minutes to hook up and works great.

Works great, incomplete for split
Works great and it’s nice that there is an adaptor included for split functionality with the existing power button. Installation is easy if you don’t want the case power button to work, but if you want split functionality you’ll need a breakout board or extension for the panel pins on the motherboard, because most cases have one combination header nowadays for these pins, not individual headers. You’ll need the adaptor AND an extension.

I LOVE THIS! It's just what I needed!
I love this!!! I have one tower computer that is hard to get to from where I work. This is the ultimate EASY BUTTON!I don't have to crawl under the desk or do contortions to flip on the computer, I just keep this button on my desk. It's hilariously easy to turn on this computer now. I don't think it would work for a computer where you can't get to the motherboard, but hey it works on the one I need it to work on!

Pretty aesthetic for the price!!
I use this for my desktop pc that I keep under my desk, because the power button on my case is on the bottom. I was getting tired of using my toes or breaking my back to turn on my pc, so this helps immensely! It feels like a cheap button, but for that price I wasnt expecting anything crazy. It looks great and with the tape on the back I can put it anywhere! It cant be moved afterward but I didnt expect it to, so for this price I would definetly buy again, even if its just to move where I keep it! Just dont buy it if you have no pc experience, it can be dangerous without knowledge!! There is no easy way to get a real power button thats easy to install so for what I expected, this is amazing!!

Long wires and LED indicator
Works well as intended. If you have your pc under your desk, you may need this so that you don’t have to bend over to turn on your pc.

Worked great for my stealth living room build!
Just works! Used this for a PC built into a bookshelf so I could have the switch be remote. Has a nice firm click to it too, pretty decent micro switch.
