So Far From Real by Cauterize

Brilliant quality and very quickly delivered. I've been looking for a long time for a good quality version of this CD and I've not been disappointed

I mean, wow! I got this record ages ago but I recently felt motivated to review it. Obviously, the more recognisable tracks, if you own 1080 Avalanche, are 'Choke' and 'Killing Me', which are good tracks but not the absolute best. All the songs are very strong (I'm loathe to use the cliche 'All killer, no filler') and have riffs and lyrics that have a tendncy to stick in your head.I can't recommend the album enough. I really hope that Amazon will sell it too (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). Buy the album. Kiss my feet later.

Cauterize is so much more than two tracks on 1080 Avalanche. 'Choke' and 'Killing Me' hold their own against the rest of the album, but it's the tracks you didn't hear on the game that hook you. 'Something Beautiful', 'Taste of Tears', 'I'll Cry Tomorrow' and 'Shooting Stars' are just some of the sublime songs on offer. Listen to the demo tracks above and you'll see what I mean.In all honesty, not buying 'So Far from Real' is criminal. Cauterize is one of the best bands that I've heard for ages and you will not be disappointed. Even better, there's a new album coming out in February, so buy that as well.LONG LIVE CAUTERIZE!

Yep, like most people I heard Cauterize on 1080 avalanche. Their sound was perfect; their tracks stood out from the rest. The tracks on the game, 'Choke' and 'Killing Me' are, along with 'Something Beautiful', by far the best on the CD, however that's not to say the rest are bad. Cauterize are, in my opinion, one of the best new sounds around. People are bound to say that they've just hopped on the punk-rock band wagon, but I think they really do have a unique sound. On first listening, the tracks seem bland and samish, running into each other, with the exception of the three songs mentioned earlier, but like alot of punk CDs, it gets better as you learn the songs. If you like the band, you'll love the album! A definate for anyone into bands like American Hi-Fi!

Many UK residents heard of Cauterize from the 1080 Avalanche game on Nintendo Gamecube,I didn't,I heard them from the Wind-up website in August 2003,I got the album as soon as it came out in USA,I importing it from this site,and the 1st single "Something Beautiful" was a big hit in the USA,the 2nd Single "Choke" was also a big hit.If you are into Hard Rock bands,check out Cauterize,they are nothing you have heard before!

AWESOME, THE BEST ALBUM YOU'LL BUY FOR QUITE A WHILE. KILLER BAND, INSPIRED LYRICS AND BRILLIANT BACKING.-sorry 'bout the caps-As said above; "Killing Me" and "Choke" are incredible tracks but "Promise Me" is worth the money alone to my mind.Buy it. Now. You'll thank me for it.Cheers.

If you heard of this band because of 1080 then you already know the high quality of this band. THey are un rivaled in terms of class and diversity on one album. Every trak is killer which is very rare nower days. A large number of bands pump out the same thing but this is very rare as it is unique buy now! *****

i first heard cauterize a little while back and waited for this album in suspense. once i had it i was very.. wow its extremley good and i recommend it to many power-punk fans. on their official website (.com) it has some samples you can listen to from the album, but trust me it rules!!
