I bought this for a friend and installed it for them. LTE cameras are pricey but as long as you have cell coverage it's completely worth it.The micro SD card slot is on the back of the camera 'ball' and the sim card slot and the on/off switch is on the side. Boths cards are under a cover that you need a small phillps head screwdriver for.I bought the EIOTClub 360 day 24gb prepaid data sim card. You do have to download the app to activate it. It's actually a very easy process. You have to remember this is an LTE camera, so the PTZ function and playback can be a little slow responding depending on cell coverage.The camera itself is amazing, very durable metal casing, the night vision compared to standard IR is unbelievable and again makes the price difference worth it. This camera is essentially undetectable if you mount it in the right spot and no glow IR really helps it blend in.Mount it somewhere up high about 15' so it's not easily seen and it also helps catch a better cell signal. I mounted the solar panel about 5' above it facing south east and it charged the camera from 30% to 100% in about 6 hours of good sunlight.If you want a PTZ camera that is completely wireless and essentially undetectable this is the one for you

I bought this camera as a standalone unit that does not need Wi-Fi. I took a T-Mobile SIM card straight out of an extra phone that I had and stuck it into the camera and it worked flawlessly. Every now and again my service is slow so it will show on the camera but all in all that's not the camera's fault it's T-Mobile's. You get a great camera for the money and it has a lot of features on the app. I love how you get two different views one regular and then one a little bit more zoomed in. The zoom on the app works as well when you just pinch to zoom you can zoom in as far as you want to really. I've not had it not work for me at all it has been nothing but great so far. The battery lasts 100% of the time if you use the solar charger it never runs out no matter really how much you watch or stream to your phone or use the camera. It works great. There are a bunch of settings you can change as far as when you want your notifications and how you want them to come and where you want them to come it is really a good camera I couldn't ask for a better solution for surveillance

I spent 24 hours at home trying set this camera up before taking it to remote property. First of all you get a quick start guide that shows how to attach the camera to a wall, tree etc... , how to charge it and how to install the data card. That's it. Chatting with Reolink support is a joke. It is all AI and won't help. I finally got a hold of a person on the phone after holding for an hour. They helped me with settings to get auto tracking to work. I figured out how to create a app password for email notifications by myself.Then the auto-tracking quit working so I had to do a reset. This eliminated all of the settings including the app password. I deleted and created five new app passwords for Reolink. I tested each one and was never able to get the email notifications to work again. In the meantime the auto-tracking quit again as well. I will not have this camera located 4 hours away on our mountain property and have to deal with issues like this. Getting customer support is like pulling teeth AND......there is no operational manual. I was told they haven't made one yet. So if you are remote and have issues you will have to find help online or struggle with it yourself. I'm done. THE REOLINK TRACKMIX LTE-C, THE EIOT DATA CARD AND THE REOLINK MICROSD CARD ARE ALL GOING BACK TO AMAZON!

Good quality camera , Easy to install .Works with CLARO El Salvador SIM Card outside U.S.Standby mode ( with no alarms ) uses only 4% to 6% of battery life.Microphone reach surprised me.!App have some bugs and issues.Some setup options fail when trying to save. ( example: email setup, detection zones or screen brightness ).Overall is a good product, just fix the App.

Better than all the others. You get what you pay for.

This is a great camera for remote locations. The pics and video are clear, the range distance is the best I’ve been able to find so far, and the ability to operate remotely is exactly what I was looking for. It is a heavy, bulky camera but so worth it. Easy to set up and the solar panel keeps it going without a hitch. You will have to buy an SD cars & SIM card (LTE) separately.

Build of the camera seems to be pretty rugged and the picture is fairly good. Setup instructions are poor. The real problem is in the service. I am using this camera next to a road and used the built-in feature to restrict the area the camera scans for movement so its not unnecessarily recording and I set the sensitivity of the camera likewise. I am also using the lowest settings for video. I had to upgrade the service to the paid 8GB service because the SIM ran out of memory in one day (before changing the settings as listed above) Even with the 8GB service it only lasted three days. Once it runs out of memory, the camera disconnects and is useless, and in my case, the camera is remote so you can't just restart the camera (as the directions dictate, again useless) and its not initially clear that the reason it shut down was because the SIM is out of memory. This seriously affects the functionality of this camera.
