Easy to put together, great to use, but no streaming videos
This is a great introductory reformer. Assuming I can get myself to use it everyday, I'll eventually buy the stand for it as well. It is LOW to the ground, but if you already do mat work, that shouldn't bother you. It's EASY to put together. I had no problems. The box is HUGE and heavy, so you may want to move it piece by piece if you need to. A couple of things - I'd read else-where that a previous version had a complicated rebounder. This one is already put together and ready to go - no problem. Next, it says it comes with four screws - it does, they're just already part of the feet/stands. So don't worry if you think you're missing those. You're not. It also comes with spare parts, which is a little worrisome. The only thing that keeps me from giving this 5 stars is the DVDs. Who uses DVDs anymore? We stream everything. So I was shocked when Customer Service told me that only "new" videos were available on demand. I checked out the on-demand videos and, after checking with Customer Service, I would still have to pay $25 PER VIDEO to view those. Even though I own the DVDs. That is quite the rip-off. So if you're like me and don't have an old-fashioned DVD player (or one in your laptop), then be prepared to scour YouTube for reformer DVDs. They aren't that hard to find, but it's just annoying. One last tip - I recommend buying the headrest. I'm going to order it right now. I think it will add a bit more comfort.

Very happy with this machine
I'm very happy with this purchase. I can now do Pilates at home in addition to a weekly studio class. Even though it isn't has good as the expensive studio machine (no tower springs, etc), it works well. The highest resistance red bungee cord is a bit difficult to pull out but I was able to do it after a couple of attempts.

A decent value but not for me
I found this reformer to be on the flimsy side, compared to my sturdy old Premier 700. It seems that, perhaps, attempts have been made to keep costs down at the expense of efficiency. This is particularly evident with the pulley-ropes which are much shorter than in the past and are "lengthened" by adjusting the furry hand/foot straps. That's much more difficult than in the past. In addition, 5 cords is not all that much better than what can be done on a 4-cord machine by changing out two black power cords for a red one and a yellow one. I know, I did it. I'm glad I hadn't yet given away my old machine. Instead, I'll give this one away and have already found someone who wants it. The one thing that's been done with this reformer is to get away from that nonsensical folded cardio-rebounder that came with some earlier models. This one is nice and large and in one, solid piece. A decided improvement and a return to the past version. As to the exercises themselves, one can pay a lot more than the cost of this one and not get any better workout. On that score, Stamina Products AeroPilates reformers are a darned good value.
