Product was wrapped very well which was already a great sign on arrival. I ordered the screen with the camera as well and was extremely pleased with the quality of all parts. Product included some of the best installation instructions and videos which assisted for a smooth installation. Initially was having issues getting sound with car play but used the troubleshooting instructions and was able to get everything working perfect (didn’t realize I need to have the aux cable connected). Quality of the back up camera is great as well. System starts right up and connects to car play which is also impressive. Definitely one of the better products I have seen and for a fraction of the price. Highly recommend this product. Time will tell how long it holds up but first impressions are very impressive.

This unit is absolutely fantastic! Installation wasn't too bad, but I did need a video to assist with getting the sound to come through the speakers (requires the use of the 3.5mm audio cable attaching to auxiliary input in armrest). Functions quick and flawlessly. Display and sound quality are great. Hooks up to android auto almost instantly upon start up. I cannot recommend this enough! I've been doing my own car audio for over 20 years and this is the nicest head unit I've ever gotten for the money!

This product ended up impressing me a lot more than I thought it would. The packaging that it came in made it feel like a more premium product, even though this is not that expensive compared to other screens on the market. I wasn't familiar with this brand, never bought from them before, but I was not disappointed. I bought this in a bundle with the backup camera for a 2013 F30 335i. Everything was plug-and-play, and I had no issues at all once it was installed. I recommend watching the installation videos on YouTube. Just search for this product, and it will come up. The screen boots up fast and is fully compatible with the original OEM system so you don't lose any functionality. You can even customize the startup screen if you want, so that it says BMW or anything else you can think of. One of the things that shocked me the most about this new unit is that it greatly improved the sound quality. I mean, the old system was from 2013, so it makes sense, but I didn't think it would make this big of a difference. It sounds amazing. If your car has Bluetooth originally, then I recommend forcing it to use that Bluetooth channel because then you won't need to run the AUX cable that comes with it. I installed it anyway in case I ever sell the car someday, but just know that you do not need to run an AUX cable if your car already came with Bluetooth; you just change the settings to use that instead. Great connectivity and zero fitment issues. It really does not get any better than this. If you are not mechanically or technically inclined, just have someone install it for you and don't blame the product, but I had no problems with it, and all I did was watch a video on how to install it. It's very good value for the money. If you are on the fence, I can't recommend it enough, honestly. There is another screen out there that is way too big and looks cartoonish. This one is just right, and it's centered on the dash like it should be.

I’ve had this system in my BMW 328d for several months now and exclusively use it for Apple CarPlay and Waze. I have had it crash a couple times and have some connectivity issues with my phone. Sometimes if I can’t get my phone to connect I’ll have to go into the unit settings and delete my Bluetooth connection to my phone and reconnect then it will work. Hands free phone calls work good with good audio. Overall, it integrates pretty nicely into the car and the stock system. I would purchase it again if I needed it.

Pretty cool! I needed the most bus jumper which they should just include but works great. Huge improvement over old screen. Cable management was a little tricky. You need to really feed adapter harness deep down into the dash. Decided to order the back up camera which is why the dash is still apart

I was a little hesitant to buy a CarPlay unit on Amazon- but this one had largely positive reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I’m so glad I did. I initially bought the 12.3” but returned it and got the 10.25” screen, as I felt it looked the most natural in my F31. I watched a handful of videos on YouTube before I bought it, which walked through the install. Installation was pretty straightforward- I had it all setup in a few hours. A few things were buggy at first, but the PEMP online support was great at helping me dial in the setup. (They are in China so will only be online in the evening and at night) It’s been working almost flawlessly since day one and I have zero regrets. My local shop quoted me $1350 to have the bimmertech unit installed. This cost me $250. Huge win. Thanks PEMP Audio!

DON'T BUY - After installation, the product worked as advertised and I was very happy with it. 5 Weeks after installation, when entering a steep parking lot, my car bottomed out. There was a pretty solid bump, but nothing earth shattering. That bump dislodged something inside the head unit causing it to malfunction and render the entire iDrive system of the car inoperable. I had to put the OEM screen back in to get all of the car's systems working again. There is no mechanism on AMAZON to contact the manufacturer for a remedy. I suppose I will have to spring the mega bucks on a BIMMERTECH screen if I want CarPlay. UPDATE - Have exchanged emails with PEMP after finding their website. They are evasive and so far are implying that I am incompetent at connecting harnesses. I am not. They are very slow to respond to emails, limiting their correspondence to one email per day at 6pm pacific time. They seem to want the conversation to be cumbersome and slow. Perhaps hoping I give up? Update 2: They want me to ship the unit to China at my expense to verify it is faulty. You know the quality of a company not by how they act when things go right, but by how they respond to customers who experience problems. Update 3: after placing this review, PEMP contacted me and provided a US address to which I was told I could return the unit. They required me to pay shipping. The lowest rate available to a private individual from UPS was $31. I believe that companies like this have such policies as a discouragement to return defective products. Most certainly, their businesses have negotiated shipping rates that are a small fraction of what individuals have to pay.

This item is excellent. For the price you can't beat it. It comes with the tool to pop off the molding in the car. Total there are 8 torque screws; I literally had this installed in 5 minutes and the dash put back together. I did have alot of back and forth with the company as the android auto wouldn't pop up. They replied back non stop late at night with help. The issue I ran into was my wifi. Even though it is connected to the OEM and Pemp Bluetooth it also connects to the Pemp wifi. My phone was already connected to the house wifi and it wasn't popping up automatically. I turned the car on while in a parking lot, and the wifi connected and everything started up the way it is supposed to. Since then everything automatically connects when car starts. Phone calls are good as well. Highly recommend this unit.
