Relieves neck pain
I have a cervical disk which was compressing the nerves in my neck. Severe pain and numbness in my neck and arm. After using this regularly for 3 weeks (15 minutes twice daily), all my symptoms started disappearing.I recommend it however I advise that there must be someone else with you for the first few times because of possibility of syncope.Overall it works.

Works with some effort
I really had high hopes but it is slightly hard to use by ourself. The pump and release can be difficult. the padding is really good and it took my head off my neck like I wanted but found I had to have help from someone else to put it on.

Misleading Relief
This equipment doesn't lift your neck but it does lift your CHIN only which is very weird and annoying and dysfunctional at the same time. Surely, after a long time figuring it out, you put it on and it does lift your chin and not the back of your neck so it becomes useless and not helpful because the part that you need it to support does not actually. Buy the $10 neck foam support for the same results. I waited some time for being away from the item, and I'm unable to return it now. This is cheesy cheap product. I don't know if spending more money would necessarily relief that pain. I had a regular old neck foam support and its relief is better than this product. Stay Away..

Works but very awkward to get on. Better devices available.
I am a rehabilitation RN and also had a severe neck injury 26 years ago. I received a Pronex cervical traction unit and have used it ever since for pain relief. It still works after 25 years. I am comparing this cervical traction unit to that one. This device has simply horrible instructions; even as a skilled health care professional I had trouble getting it on properly. Many people will be challenged to get this on correctly without the assistance of another person. I have a small neck and shoulders; this fit me without much room to spare. Also this will be a challenge for anyone with claustrophobia. The instructions are so poor for a medical device I think this could be dangerous without proper help. I did find the one advantage to this device is that you can use it standing and walking. I was able to achieve good inflation and cervical traction. My recommendation is to consider the Pronex device by Glacier Cross (I have no investment in this company other than as a consumer). It is far simpler to apply, easy to use and lasts, in my case, for a quarter century. The only way this device is useful is if you must use a cervical traction device while standing up. Otherwise, a hard pass for me.

Does a pretty good job at relieving pain.
I used this product for neck traction. Although I felt like it lift more on the front than it does in the back I did feel relief from disc herniation. It takes a few uses to get used to the pressure it puts on the jaw as well. Overall it does a good job though if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to chiropractor visits.

more tedious to use than over-door traction
I've been using an over-door traction device recommended by my chiropractor for the last three years, and one thing I hate about it is that it puts a lot of pressure on my jaw, which would give me pain and headache. I was really excited to try this new device. The instruction manual, firstly, is very difficult to understand. Something lost in the translation, perhaps. Even after loosening everything described it took my husband and I both 15 minutes to figure out how to put it on, which is such a tight fit that all the parts scratching my face made it very uncomfortable. Once I was able to put my head through the very small, tight opening (would not fit my husband's head at all and he does not have a big head), then my husband had to help me put together the air tube that connects to the pump and the gauge, because I couldn't see anything below my chin. The traction was not as strong as my over-door device, so I really didn't feel a big relief, but I will continue to try it so that I could give it more time. My chiropractor took a look at the design and did approve of my use, and recommends that I use it while laying down. The instructional manual does not explain how to use it very well, so without my chiropractor's guidance I would not know how to use it effectively. At the end of the day, three stars for it being light-weight and chiro-approved. As for effectiveness, it wasn't that effective for me, which is why I docked one star, and the other lost star is on how tedious it is to use every time (I can't use it by myself) and the bad instructional manual. There are some differences between pictures shown in the manual and what I see on the device. In fact, I think I may have possibly received a defective device because I think one of the velcro straps are missing.
