This is just what I was looking for.
The only negative I might have is that the cord gets very warm at the plug in. I wouldn't just leave this on for hours unattended.

Not good for reading.
This arrived today. It may work well for those using it to enlarge hobby work, but for reading, it kinda sucks. The distortion factor is greater than I had anticipated, i.e. good magnification in the very center but quickly bends and warps towards the edges. That may not bother some people, but I find it uncomfortable trying to read a page in a magazine with this item. I'm going to pass it on to a friend who works with model cars in hopes that he can use it.

Beware when ordering this product. Sellers says US plug but it is not a US plug. Extremely unfortunate

Base is too light and cheap, it scratched our wood table. I wish I had never purchased this!
Too light, cheaply made! Base is too light and it will scratch your furniture!

LED Lights lasted two years
Light started blinking at first, then completely went out. I only used the magnifier light intermittently.
