Good little switcher
Good little switcher. Had some trouble passing more than two channels of audio though contrary to the website specs. Also no more “aux” button on front, must dig into menu or use software to aux any of the outputs.

Great switcher
Looks like black magic finally got rid of a lot of the problems the past switchers have. 10 cameras all in different resolutions is a game changer. No more need for the scalers.

Nice upgrade from the ATEM TV Studio HD
After many productions, my old ATEM Television Studio HD finally needed to be replaced and the ATEM Constellation switcher was a pleasant upgrade. I work strictly with pro broadcast cameras, so having all the sources with SDI connections is a must. The old ATEM had limitations: it had only four SDI inputs--the rest were HDMI--and if your input sources didn't match your output format you had to rely on scalers to get them right. Now I can connect any SDI source and use it without scaling because the Constellation does it seamlessly. My program output is typically 1080p/59.94, but I have one older camera I have to occasionally use and it can only be set to 1080i/59.94. I used to have to have a Decimator scale it to 1080p, but now I just connect it directly to the Constellation and it sees it. My old ATEM was used a lot for streaming multi source presentations over Zoom, which required me to use a capture device like the AJA U-TAP with SDI input and USB output to connect to a laptop. The Constellation has a USB-C port that will output as a webcam, eliminating the need for yet another extra device to make it work. The new talkback feature is also a plus for this model. I had to use a separate headset system before. So many more things I like about this switcher that make it a great value. I can't wait to integrate it with my new Blackmagic cameras when they arrive.
