Beginner Whittler Approved!
I am new to whittling, and I want lots of practice. As soon as these little basswood blocks I got them out and got to work trying some of the techniques I found in the book I'm working through. They're great! The wood is soft, but not too soft. It does exactly what I want it to do (which is saying something, since I don't really know what I'm doing.)Very glad I got these! Great basswood blocks!

A tiny bit short, but nice close grain, straight and clear
This is beautiful wood, nice and clear and straight as described. As often happens with lumber, the length is a little shorter than the specified 6 inches, an eighth inch short. Otherwise, no complaints at all, no blemishes or other issues, very nice wood.
