My Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (why are they so bad at product names?) is a great phone. I haven't felt any need to upgrade it. I was concerned about reviews of these mics saying that they didn't work with their Android phones, but many don't even identify which phone model, or what the behavior was. I decided to give it a try as supposedly it will work with any USB-OTG capable device, and I know my Galaxy is. (There are free apps you can download that will simply report if your device is USB-OTG capable, btw.) When I received them I wasn't in a position to try immediately so I plugged them in to charge. When I finally did try them I read the simple manual and saw that the transmitters's indicator LED will turn red when you turn them on and turn green when they connect to the receiver. The receiver's LED is supposed to turn red when it has power and green when properly connected to the phone. Well, my receivers turned green, but the transmitter didn't. Bummer! I spent a while trying to troubleshoot it. A USB tools app said that the device was recognized. At least the way Samsung has packaged my version of Android (up-to-date as of July 2024) there are no microphone settings to be found. Before returning them I tried them on my MacBook Pro. Using the system tools microphone setting I selected the recognized USB Audio input device and speaking into the mic it registered my voice as expected. Well, at least they aren't defective! Then as I went to pull the receiver out of the USB port I noticed that the light was still red! It was working without ever turning green! I immediately plugged it back into my phone and tried it out and it works great! I confirmed by recording a video as I spoke and moved the mic around. Closer to my mouth it gets louder, further away it gets quieter, while the camera and my mouth never changed relative position. Perfect! Dumb that I didn't just try that initially, but more dumb that the simple instructions are inaccurate. Glad it works great, sounds great, and priced very well!

Actually very surprised! For what you pay these are actually really nice! I record outside often so there’s so much background noise esp with my neighbors loud barking dogs but this cancels out all of that and all you hear is me. Battery life is great I’ve recorded for hours and they still have plenty of juice they have not died on me yet. The audio is a bit weird it’s hard to explain how it sounds but it’s clear and loud which were my main two concerns. It’s not as loud if not being held which for this price point is not at all a deal breaker for me. They’re small and compact too and don’t take up much space which was another thing I was concerned about and you get two! Which I usually only use one so if anything happens I have a back up. Awesome deal! Give them a try

Ok . . . I ordered this twice because I thought the 1st one was faulty. In the instructional booklet it says the light on the Receiver will turn GREEN. It's been 24 hours and it's still RED. (remember to charge your receiver & wireless mic first). It also says that you do NOT need an app to use it. I beg to differ. So far I can NOT get a sound without using an APP. The microphone's light does turn GREEN when the receiver is paired. But the receiver's light is STILL RED. Still trying to figure out what OTG stands for. (BTW-not everyone is tech savvy or going to try to figure this out. They will most likely return it because it should be Plug & Play. But it is not). The FREE app I am using is called Mic to Speaker - Virtual Mic. But there are many other apps to choose from if you want to PAY a fee. It's only easy to use if you can figure out what it needs. Once you figure it out, it functions pretty well. It's very lightweight and small, so make sure you put ALL the pieces in one place where they won't get lost or displaced.
