This book is gorgeously illustrated and is full of history and symbolism I didn't know about the bird species shown. I'd love to see a sequel with more species in the future. Very well researched and an interested read, even if you aren't a bird enthusiast. I got it during a deal Amazon was running, so the price was also excellent! Honestly felt very moved to use the pictures and background info as inspiration for a future tattoo!

This book is absolutely beautiful and such a pleasure to read! Children love to flip through it and look at the illustrations of the birds.

Oh my gosh, I am totally enchanted with Jessica Roux. Her work of various birds is absolutely beautiful. I love learning the accompanying lore of each bird. Even the cover and pages are of great quality. The book is of a perfect size to hold in my hands or in my lap, not too large, and yet, hold gorgeous, colorful, full-sized pictures. I am happy to have found her while browsing through Amazon. I most definitely will be purchasing her other books and cards!

A beautiful volume, in production and design, which do justice to the illustrations.

Roux does an amazing job with her illustrations. This book focuses on the Lore of each bird, and sometimes includes some facts about the bird as well. I love, love, loved this. Very easy read, and I also learned a lot.

It's a cute little book. The blurbs are interesting. The prints are of the primitive style. The paper is Matt and the colors muted. It's fun. I like it.

I bought this for a gift for a friend. She absolutely loved it!
