This is my first try using Amazon Basics 13 Gallon Tall Kitchen Trash Bags. My most recent experience with Glad tall kitchen bags was so negative, with nearly every one tearing apart, that I actually called their customer service number to complain. And at 53 years old, I can probably count on one hand how many times I have done something like that.The Amazon Basics bags are very thick compared to Glad bags. They are nice and sturdy as you place them in the can. My flip-top kitchen bin requires you to twist the bag tight around the top, and then tuck the extra into a little catch. That was a little more of a trick with these bags, but no big deal. Size-wise I think they are a little bit bigger than the Glad bags as well, or at least the dimensions felt that way.Single-use plastic packaging is a disaster. It cannot and is not reused by industry. Sadly, most plastic placed into the recycle bin by Americans just ends up in the landfill anyway. Except for milk jugs, which are recycled into plastic grocery bags, very little else is used. I was happy to see that these Amazon bags contain 10% post-consumer plastic waste. Not a lot, but at least it is something.

Good product that is as strong as other top-brand trash bags. The only issue is the ties. We had to work on the bag to make the ties retract. But once you do that, this is a great bag!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Nearly everyone needs plastic trash bags, and this Amazon Basics product seems to perform just as well as the supermarket brands, with about twice the bags in a box for the same price. These have the drawstring closure we prefer (over the handle-tie alternative); they seem to fit the tall kitchen wastebasket on the back porch without straining (something that has been an issue with other brands we've tried); and so far they appear to be just as sturdy when filled as our usual supermarket trash bags. If you know you're going to need to restock on trash bags soon, these are a great value. Highly recommended!

So if anyone is thinking 🤔 these are probably junk garbage bags, think again! They are super sturdy, thick, the red straps are strong 20 pounds strong.. no but super good..👍 I used to get my bags at Costco, but they are so expensive now. These are just as good, so try it, you’ll like it !

continually rips every time you put the bag in the trash can then when you go to pick it up you lose a lot of the contents because there's a side tear that goes all the way down that has happened to at least 6 of every 10 bags. A purchase I won't order again
