As long as you don't want to "sleep" your phone, there's no problem. The pack charges well. You can charge your phone through the case as well as charge the case. It has saved me a few times...however, I've ordered 2 of these because I thought the first one not working was a fluke. The first time I put the case on, the button to push through to the power button was sluggish and it only got worse. The volume buttons seem to click and work fine, I've had other phone cases on this particular phone with no problem, but with this case, it is sooo annoying to not be able to turn off/lock/sleep your phone. For Galaxy S9, this case is a no go. Maybe with other phone models, it may be different, but I will be looking for a different brand in the future.

I've had a Mophie charger case ever since I got my first smartphone - I love them. Have to say, though, I'm not a huge fan of this model for the Galaxy S9. My notes cover the following:- charge activator button- durability- microphone/speaker quality at base- buttons/other usage- style- functionThe 'activate charger' button on the back is an LED press-and-hold now instead of an itsy colored switch (loved the latter because you could tell if you'd already depleted your charge with only a quick glance to the back) - it's just annoying to figure out whether or not you have any 'juice' left in the case. It does a really good job of protecting your phone, though - I've dropped mine about a thousand times over the last two years and my phone is completely undamaged (though the case really needs to be replaced). Generally, I find with my use the Mophie cases last a solid year before they start cracking from my excessive dropping - I've gone nearly two with this one (though it's in pretty bad shape now). The speaker at the bottom is okay but it's not great: the case covers but has a different outlet to divert the bottom microphone/speaker. I'll often take it out if I'm on speakerphone to improve my sound quality. The side buttons are not as good as earlier models, though - I often have to press a couple of times to get it to register. I also often have to remove the case to help it cool off faster if I leave it in the car or the sun for too long. This case is also not compatible with the wireless chargers. Stylistically, I think it's a pretty slick design for what it is (and how well it protects) though I CONTINUE to be disappointed that it only comes in black (earlier models came in all sorts of colors, which was so much better). But, at the end of the day, I can bring my phone up from the brink of death to a full charge. It's always functioned perfectly well for me doing the job I bought it to do.

This is the most amazing tool! The case/battery pack is solid in my hand while looking very sleek and stylish. It keeps me going when I'm suddenly out of power. I just push the button on the back and Magic! Thank you to everyone who took the time to give details in their review on how this device works. The case is so nicely engineered that it was pure joy to see it fit together.. it looks and feels like the phone came with the case in it. I won't buy a phone that is not supported by this brand!

At best this battery brings my phone from 15% up to about 40%, which is enough to get me to a real charger but not what the description implied. Also, while it seems to charge quickly, the charging of my phone is so slow that if my battery is getting low the phone will die mid-call because it can't charge fast enough to keep up with using the phone.My case arrived with the power button missing but I'm actually okay with that as it makes it harder to accidentally turn on my phone coming in and out of my pocket. I can still access the button with a thumbnail.I like the feel of the case and the added bulk is acceptable for what it does. I feel like it's less likely to slip out of my hand than my slim case. The speakerphone works acceptably even though it has redirected the sound from the port in the bottom, and I like that I can still plug in wired headphones despite the thick case.Bottom line is acceptable but not highly recommended. I will keep it because it's better for an emergency than carrying around the external battery and cable.

My Galaxy S9 + has the fingerprint scanner below the camera and this case allows easy access. I like the extra weight of the battery pack. It is vital to have the power on those long work days .

Works great and operation is simple. This is the second one purchased for this phone. The old one was replaced simply because it got too damaged from heavy use. This was used for a work issued phone that went many places and was dropped in some weird places. I consider this a sacrificial/consumable accessory that performs 2 functions very well: Keeps a busy phone charged and protects it from drops and bumps. I highly recommend the Mophie juice pack.
