Nice chewable ice maker!!
I absolutely love this ice maker! This is my second ice maker from ecozy. ecozy has a great customer support team and I have had very good experiences with this company in the past.I think everything about this ice maker is great. It's very easy to use and clean. It makes nice chewable ice quickly. Only needs a small space on the kitchen counter. It makes noise (of course) but quiet enough. Compact but holds a lot of ice! (It has a bigger basket than the previous model I had.) If you're planning on using the ice chest to go somewhere, start making it the day before and when the basket is full, put it in a ziplock bag and store it in the freezer, then continue making more. You'll have a ton of ice the next day for the ice chest! It comes with a cute little metal cup and a cleaning tool. Which is nice too!

The Price of the Nugget: A Report from the Front Lines of Frozen Gold
Dateline: A Kitchen Counter, Late Saturday Night. There are two kinds of people in this world: those who are content with the hard, impenetrable cubes of ice that come from a standard freezer, and those who know the truth. Those who have tasted the good stuff. The soft, chewable, flavor-absorbing, pelletized perfection known as nugget ice. For years, this was a treasure you had to hunt for at a specific fast-food joint or a high-end soda fountain. But now, you can bring the machine into your own home. And it is a loud, hot, and glorious beast.Let's be clear about what you are signing up for. This is not just an ice maker. It is a dedicated, single-purpose machine whose one and only mission is to produce these tiny, perfect nuggets of frozen joy. And at that mission, it is an undisputed champion. The ice it churns out is the genuine article: soft enough to chew without threatening the structural integrity of your teeth, yet solid enough to chill a drink with ruthless efficiency. It is, in a word, perfect. The machine itself is stylish, a handsome, well-built appliance that looks the part. It’s easy to clean, easy to maintain. It makes good on its one, central promise. But this perfection comes at a price. A heavy, noisy, and very, very warm price. This is not a quiet machine. When it kicks into gear, it makes its presence known. There is a churning, a grinding, a constant chattering hum that becomes a new part of your kitchen's soundscape. It is significantly louder than any standard ice maker I have ever encountered. It is the sound of a complex, mechanical process, the sound of ice being compressed and extruded, and it is a sound you will learn to live with. And then there is the heat. The machine radiates a surprising amount of warmth, a constant, fiery breath that can turn a small corner of your kitchen into a personal sauna. It is the byproduct of the intense process happening within its guts, a constant reminder of the energy being expended to create your frozen gold.So here is the deal. This machine is a pricey, noisy, heat-generating monster. But it is also the cheapest game in town if you want an endless, on-demand supply of the best ice known to man. It is a four-star deal with the devil. You must be willing to tolerate its loud, warm personality in exchange for the glorious, chewable nuggets it provides. For the true addict, for the connoisseur of the crunch, it is a price well worth paying. But do not go into it thinking you are buying a silent, humble servant. You are buying a loud, hot, and very effective factory for frozen perfection.

It worked... once!
Read this review as a warning! The ice maker worked the first time I used it. Made great nugget Ice. The first problem is the chute design. Unlike some ice makers this doesn't make a batch of ice all at once. But it dribbles ice out, one nugget at at a time. No problem I understand, that is the way it has to work. But the ice comes out slow and damp. Because of this it builds up ice and then after a few minutes it shuts itself off because it thinks it's full but actually only made one small trail of Ice. I Put up with that, but wish I had returned it then. Because now I went to use for only the second time. And it will come on but not make ice. I have followed everything in the manual but it does not work. Just makes noise but no ice. I can not recommend this brand of nugget ice maker. I will buy another at a local membership store that will let me return it even after 30 days. That's why I call this a warning. A lot of us don't use this every day. I made a couple bags of Ice and then didn't use it for about a month. Well by then the return window had passed.

Sonic ice
So this does make wonderful sonic type ice and it is pretty quick. I bought for the feature of being able to control it from your phone. I have it start producing ice an hour before we wake up. So when I’m making water cups for everyone in the morning it’s ready. Once I wake up I shake it down so it continues to produce ice uninterrupted while getting ready. It needs to be shook down so it doesn’t get the full alert and stop producing ice. I have to set it and push down the ice that has piled up so it will continue to run but this will allow for enough ice to be produced in the mornings for everyone’s Stanley’s for the day. I think this is typical of most ice makers in my experience. I was frustrated with this at first but after a few days of use and the ability to fill the freezer bags that came with the maker it is workable. I don’t know if it will damage the lifespan of the machine but if you elevate the back end of the machine it helps the ice slide forward so you don’t get the full ice message as quickly. It is very easy to clean (self cleaning feature) and sync to your phone (just follow a few prompts) . I just wish it was designed slightly different so it wouldn’t automatically turn off bc of full ice sensor. I had the other nugget ice maker from ecozy and knew from that experience it would automatically turn off before it was full. I’ve also had another brand of ice maker that turned off bc of sensor. If home to monitor it’s a great, pretty, and fast ice maker. The design could be improved but idk if there’s a better smart option out there with the pellet ice. Customer service is also helpful with troubleshooting if needed. Very responsive and helpful they get back to you within 24 hours. Had rated it lower but after customer service and some trial and error on my part I’m bumping it up.
