The Cambridge Companion to Ballet (Cambridge Companions to Music)

Five star writing, one star print job
Be careful! The book I received is a print-on-demand product, with absolutely no indication of this important detail given in the Product Description. While the printed text is a good facsimile of the pages in the traditionally-printed paperback version (I borrowed this book from my local library before deciding I wanted my own copy), this edition is physically smaller than the "real" book and, consequently, the type on each page is smaller as well. Worse, the copy I received was assembled and bound in a way that has tilted the contents of every page at a slight angle, similar to what happens when paper is loaded into a printer crooked. In any case, despite the shortcomings of Amazon's print-on-demand process, the essays in this book are interesting and informative. Anybody with more than a casual interest in ballet should enjoy reading it. Just don't expect a nicely printed and bound edition.
