The Master Key
Great price not sure why people would expect a clone of what the water department uses, those tools must be hundreds of dollars but for this tool hopefully it is a rare event that you will need and and be stoked when you know you have one. It's smaller sturdy easy to store and all the neighbors will quickly find out you have the "master key". totally satisfied in every necessary way

A tool every homeowner MUST have! This is one of those things you don't know you need until you REALLY need it! This is a well made and heavy-duty street-side water main line shut-off tool. YOU WILL NEED ONE in case of a water emergency under your roof. I didn't need any of the included quad-tool fittings that came with this shut-off, they must post-date my 70-year old water meter. This is a solid piece and is a higher quality than the one I could not seem to locate when I really needed it! I'll know just where to find it if I ever need it again, believe me. Nothing else will replace this item in your home when you need it.

Get one-Eventually you'll need it
I have a pool and the water lines are split to allow me to fill the pool and bypass my whole house filter and copper piping. Many times I needed to shut off the water at the curb and not at the house to fix/replace water pipes around the pool. Usually I have to find my channel locks or something else to turn the notorious shutoff knob while waiting for something to decide in the shadows to jump out and take a bite.I purchased this for just this scenario and I'm glad I did. It was quick and easy to shutoff the water at the meter and I didn't have to reach in anywhere I didn't want or need to. Every homeowner needs one of these.

It's smaller than I expected.
Product should work okay but the length isn't long like the city water people use. Unfortunately I'll have to wait until I really need it.

Great tool for the job!
Great quality! I had to access my outdoor water meter in order to attach a Flume sensor and this was the perfect tool for the job. Of note, it might be of use to use any kind of bulky or heavy metal tool like a wrench to act as a fulcrum when opening a heavy manhole.
