Just What the Doctor Ordered
I bought this for a woman at my surgeons office to use when removing sutures. She had to cut my sutures with what looked like dull children's safety scissors, and me being a machinist, I can't accept people using such sad tools. They are a very competent facility that has done the impossible to bring me back from the dead, so I figured the least I can do is replace her old scissors with a special purpose tool that looks to be well made, and the spring handle is something they don't offer on the ones meant for sutures.I've only tried it on some old clothing but it works like a dream. I'll see how well she thinks they work for sutures at the next follow-up.I didn't see what material these are made of in the listing, but it does say stainless steel from Pakistan on the handle.

Quick, safe and smart
Bought my first pair of Havel's snip a stitch many years ago. Got this pair to use as a gift or hold for backup as mine are still perfect after all this time. The freedom to remove tags from clothing necks with no damage to new clothes is a bonus use for these tiny scissors. Never sticking yourself or cutting your fabric or clothes with an old fashioned seam ripper is their claim to fame and they do work perfect, each and every time. The ability to remove a zipper with just a few quick snips is awesome and if you just put it in and need to reuse it, you can! Great tool!

Why did I wait so long?
I was torn between traditional embroidery scissors and snips. Ultimately, it was the product reviews that led me to this purchase. I've been using these for 3 days, and I love them!! Not only are they great for snipping loose threads and trimming embroidery work, but they also come in handy for seam-ripping in tight areas where my regular seam-ripper won't work. Very easy to use, comfortable, sharp... everything I could ask for.

Love my Snips
Love these snips and have bought them for all my quilting family. The only downside is after a decade of snipping they can’t be taken apart to sharpen, but they last a long time and are far cheaper than the similar embroidery snips. Great for loose threads and seam ripping

Not sharp
I have purchased Havel products before and been very happy with them but these don't seem to work very well...I have to snip and snip just to clip a few threads.

Best Snip a Scissors I've Found!
I am very pleased with my new Havel' Snip-A-Stitch. I've been a hobby seamstress and monogrammed for over thirty years, and these handy little snips are the finest I have found. They snip my thread so close to my stitching that you cannot see any tell tale ends of thread, and are very easy to use. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs to clip jump stitches or thread ends closely.

Amazon was great but the product was not so I returned this ...
Amazon was great but the product was not so I returned this product. The curved point was thick at the end and unable to get under a needlepoint stitch. I have a pair of Havel's 33009 which were given to me over 15 years ago. The point is curved, very thin pointed and can slip under a stitch and/or cuts threads quite easily. You can see the difference in the attached photo. I questioned Havel's and was told Amazon is not an authorized dealer for them. I just ordered what is suppose to be the same scissors directly from Havel's. If they are the same then Havel's has changed the point of these scissors. If that happens then mea culpa to Amazon. I just received the 33009 Snip a stitch scissors I ordered directly from Havel's. They have the curved very sharp point like my original 33009 scissors. The scissors from Amazon were not the same. Why? Idk or maybe because they are not an authorized Havel's dealer.

Does what I needed it for but with 2:concerns
I love to needlepoint and I am currently working on 18 count canvas project. I decided I didn't like one thread color I used and needed to pull it out so I could stitch with different color. These came yesterday and I used them right away. They def made it way more easy to remove the stitches. I found them to be a bit uncomfortable when snipping becuz the tail ends rubbed the side of my hand with the repeated action - one stitch at a time. I will try again today with fingerless glove on my hand. The only other prob is they seem to have a burr on the hook that easily snags on nearby threads which is no bueno. Havel is a great scissors brand so I am a bit disappointed but considering the price I guess we must expect the unexpected.
