I just got my tesla Y and I realize although there are two platform to set my phone and have wireless charging at the same time, but sometime I don’t want to charge my phone but still want to be able to see my phone, this phone holder comes handy. It fits perfectly on my model Y and my phone stays in place. I just feel more secure when I am able to see my phone screen and doesn’t have to stay in my pocket.

**Update** So with more time the phone holder won't hold the angle and will eventually tilt downward with the weight of the phone, which means you can't see the screen, which is disappointing. I really liked how easy it was to install, but since it can't hold the phone at the right angle, it is useless to me. They probably need to go back to the drawing board with this one.This phone holder was really easy to install along the vent and should be able to hold just about any smart phone. What I don't love about it is you have to be very precise about how you set the phone in the holder so it 'grabs' the phone.

I've left my phone on the charging mats way too many times in my new Model Y, so I Was looking for something that would keep it a bit more eye level. What I like about this phone mount is it doesn't require any adhesives to stay put. It gets a firm mount on my 2024 Model Y just by a small amount of tension between the layers of the dash. I found in my Model Y that I couldn't place it too close to the end of the dash, but it worked about 4 inches in from either side and everywhere in between that I tried. I also really liked how easy it is to put the phone in and take it out, even with 1 hand.The mount is really good, but it's not perfect. Even though they ball will pivot 360 degrees, the mount is only useful in holding the phone in a portrait mode. If you try to move it to landscape, the phone falls out. That may not be a deal breaker for you, and if so, this is a really good mount with a lot of positives.
