Garmin Approach G30 Golf Handheld GPS

Excellent product with great battery lasting about 6 rounds! My G6 had packed in and was hoping for another one of those but unavailable. Although a little smaller, the G30 does the trick just as well with a much better battery.

A perfect set which gives very accurate information on the screen, with all the information and layout simple to view. I know some people have purchased the watch version but for a lot cheaper outlay I have all the information that I need. Also it is so light you need to make sure you remember to attach it to your bag.

Bought this as i wanted something accurate, compact, relatively low cost that wasnt on my wrist. This little unit ticks those boxes. Its reasonably accurate (good enough for my mid handicap golf, but if you need exact yardage then it may not be the device for you). I found it sometimes loses gps signal, but that may be course related. Its a little fiddly and sometimes needs a a little help to get it to catch up to where you are. Battery has lasted a few rounds now without charge so all good there. Other than those really minor issues it works well and im happy with the purchase.

I love this Garmin. I had one before this one and that was excellent too. After 5 years the on/off button disintegrated probablyfrom over use lol. My only gripe is it’s too small. I wish it was more like a telephone handset so you can easily see the figures. Nevertheless, it’s easy to use, gives all the distances you need and is very reliable.
