Great for the price. I was looking for a cost efficient 5 ml pipettor. This one works well and is pretty consistent. I ordered universal replacement tips from Cole Palmer. They do work, but they are very tight and you really have to push to get them on, so I would recommend looking elsewhere for matching tips. I run a lot of repetitive samples where I have to measure 5 ml over and over, so I am very excited about having this.

This pipette is great but it does not product much pressure so for more viscous fluids it takes forever to draw with this product. Other than that, the product is great and I would definitely purchase again with the understanding that it would be used for primarily runny solutions.

I've used these same pipettors on the job for years and they perform to the same standards as any other I've used. Now that I have my own company, and costs to control, this pipettor was a no brainer for the quality and price. Been using it a couple months now and its still rock solid. If you need a good, basic, broad-range pipettor, you can't go wrong with this one.

Edit 12/19/19:So I ended up talking to a different manufacturer that makes these... apparently these are mainly for water whereas I was using it for lactic acid. I tested this unit with water and it worked fine.Original:Not sure if it is the micropipette, but after drawing up the liquid, it leaks/drips... Luckily I am not using it for very precise use.

The price is good, but the pipettor is not as good an instrument as you would like. It does work, it aspirates liquid and ejects it, but the variance of the volume each time is high. This pipettor might be suitable for some purposes, but I would not recommend it for any use that needed a high degree of pipetting accuracy.

Great deal on a pipette that works well for my needs.

This is the only ISO certified micro pipette that I could find anywhere for <$400... Works just like the ones I used in my biotechnology lab!!
