If I knew how well this worked, I would have purchased the 5-gallon drum instead of the small can for trouble spots. I purchased 8 gallons of a cheaper brand of white paint which didn't cover stains well, even after 4 coats. Even though they label this a primer, I would have used this to do two coats of white paint everywhere and my apartment painting would have been completed long ago. I wouldn't have used anything else. Why would I need to do that? You learn from experience so if you read this and you're painting everything bright white, take my advice to save money and you won't have to paint more than a coat or two. Moreover, I assume painting with this will make the room extremely bright and it should last a long time. If bright white is your goal, get this. Ignore the word 'primer'. It's high-quality paint.

The lid hadn’t been sealed properly (was this customs opening it?) and paint had leaked out over the packaging. A bit messy to clean up as it is latex paint but I am using it to seal canvases for alcohol ink painting and hope it works. Also used it to seal cards and it is better than using gesso.

I just put on 3 examples, but have used it on all my figurines. So far so good. It helps the paint stay on so much better. I also have as a trial, cement pavers I stenciled. Those without the KILZ had mildew, those with KILZ are still looking good. It is worth the time to put KILZ on an item to save extra touchups or complete re paint later.

I had to buy this quart of Kilz to cover up some black spots that came through some yellow paint in my kitchen. I'm repainting. I wasn't sure the waterbased would do the trick but I was hoping. I don't care to deal with the cleanup and the smell of solvent based paints and etc. And it worked!! Like a charm. I put one coat over the black spots and then one coat of yellow paint, and now it looks great! Before it looked really yucky. So easy. Thank you Kilz!!

item received in bad condition. Dented and leaking a lot. It would appear someone dropped the can and dented it bad enough so the lid won't close properly. Someone covered it with plastic to avoid paint getting on other things.
