SPD One Percussion
I bought the SPD one Percussion Pad. I’ve explored this product (a percussion pad) for 6 months now, at home & live. Here’s what I think… I play drum kit – I don’t really need replication (cymbals/snare). Better if those voices were replaced with additional perc. Its marketed as a percussion pad, right? The process of importing a sound (in my case Roland handclap WAV file) into port 12 is too complicated. Eventually got there with the repeated help from Roland online support but…. c’mon guys. As others have highlighted, the pad sensitivity issue can be a problem live – take congas…. In reality, when you’re on stage & you’re using the pad as a conga voice, say within a drum kit led latin groove, unless you possess Dave Weckl level stick control, you never really know what sound (slap/open) is going to come through the PA because it depends on how hard (fine margins) you hit the pad in that split second (its sensitive…believe me). You can alter that sensitivity but its universal – it’ll affect the other voices on the pad too, which you’ll be using later in the gig, right? In a live setting, that intra-track attention demand is impractical. Other than that…..I really like it. Good pad ‘feel’. If you’re using multiple perc voices, it saves you a lot of money and space (you just need to remember to switch voices between tracks!). The build quality is good, battery life enough to last the gig & the pre-set sounds are good too (pretty authentic).

I ordered the Percussion and the Kick. They pack small and play big. I’m using rechargeable batteries to reduce wires- I just have to remember to turn it off when I’m done. I’m hitting the pad with my hands and feet as I am able to adjust the sensitivity. So far I’m really enjoying these new additions to my collection. The many sound options and durability justify the cost. Worth it.

SATISFECHO 😏 DEL PRODUCTO . SOLO QUE FALTA QUE SEA MAS VISBLE EL NUMERO DE diferente instrumento .. cuando esta tocando no lo ves ... pero bien

Oh my goodness I love this! It replaces my two piece conga drums perfectly for practice and playing when it is not convenient to carry my drums. I would recommend this without hesitation if you play drums and want a way to practice without interrupting others (I use my headphones and I can play while my wife watches television). Music is such a great tool to keep the mind sharp as we age, and I love learning to play new instrument's even at 76 years old, anyone can do this.

Hasta ahorita 24 de enero del 2021 me ha funcionado muy bien, solo tienes que comprar aparte el eliminador de corriente y un cable de guitarra. Lo recomiendo!

Wish I would have bought sooner. It's a nice little box. Instead of trying to clamp a cowbell, and a jam block, and the other one time use percussion accessories all around my kit. You can put this and have all the obvious basics you need. I did find it had typical double triggering when I mounted on cowbell mount on bass drum. But put on stand and away you go. Simple add on. Only complain would be that it does NOT come with an AC adapter. It uses batteries. I understand you can get an adapter...but for a live use it seems it could come with one.
