One less thing to do in your day. It turns the front door lights on and off automatically with excellent bright light. I preffer the softer light over the bluish daylight. This bulb is not much bigger than normal bulbs and has the sensor built in. It works very well and makes my life easier.

This LED bulb is designed with a light sensor so that it will turn on when it gets dark out and turn off when it is light out. The bulb itself is a bit larger than a standard bulb while it has a standard type base, so it should fit regular outdoor light fixtures such as those by a porch or patio. The light from this is pretty bright (especially considering it is warm white and not a brighter white), while the energy usage is low. This is a useful alternative to using a timer switch for outdoor lights, although you might find it turns on when it isn't that dark (such as an overcast day) and thus there may be times when you choose to manually turn the light off. One major plus with this is that you don't have to reset a timer as the seasons change or daylight savings time starts or ends. Thus, this is a good inexpensive solution for anyone who wants an easy way to have automatic outdoor illumination at night in a standard electric light fixture.

This item was delivered June 8th and stopped working July 20th, I am not sure how to contact the seller for the two year warranty?

This is the second led dusk till Dawn bulb I bought off Amazon. This one is much better. You must pay attention to the size of your bulb as it relates to the size of your light fixture. I bought the cheapest smallest light fixture from home Depot and put these in, and they work great. Be aware that because of the shape of the bulb that the light is mostly down facing which is probably where you want it to be. Love the bulbs. I'll probably buy a few more for back up.

This is a update from my 2018 review, once again I had to go out and replace this bulb and the bottom rusted and the sensor unit tears away from the light bulb. They're great while they work but once they go out it's a pain to get them out of your lamp post because they have rusted and break away from the base of the bulb. I am just reviewing this bulb purchase from 2018. It works perfectly in my front lamp post & came on at dusk & went off at dawn. The only negative I have is that when I went toreplace it today, the bulb came apart in 3 pieces & I had to use atip of a potato to get the base out of the socket. The sockte was all rusted :(

Had trouble finding a sensor for my porch light because it doesn't always get direct sunlight. This light turns on when it's dark and off when the sun comes up. It provides great light and is very bright! Even turns off during rainstorms that happen during the day if there is enough light. Saving me money and time turning on and off the lights outside. Love it!

It is so nice to put this bulb in the porch light, turn in the switch, and then forget it. You never have to worry about walking up in the dark! They come in just before dark and go off when it’s light in the morning. Boxed well didn’t have any trouble in shipping. Great product!
