Abandon hope all ye who enter here!
It functions, it seems great at first, but then! DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE HOUSE STAFF! And they'd better have strong backs. The drainage is terrible, the teak floor is so tight to the shower floor that every particle of dead skin, hair and soap scum gathers and sticks to it. Leaving the door open constantly after use only slows the stench of decay by 12 hours. The floor must be removed daily and the basin scoured. The peculiar drain trap, filled with rotting flesh, hair and scum must be removed, the hair scooped out with a toothbrush and scrubbed thoiugh you cannot reach inside it. And even when the entire floor, basin and drain are cleaned and sanitized....even then it is no "spring fresh shower in a glade" experience. It functions, it has neat doodads, disco lights to delight formerly poor Russians and makes copious steam (that smells of the sodden teak floor) and it is, bar none, the single worst mistake I made in executing my home renovations. Perhaps the steam shower with whirlpool would be a better choice since you would at the least not have to haul up the 60 pound floor every day, but I'm not going to risk it on bathroom #2.

Much Room for Improvement
I didn't buy from this Amazon vendor and am still in the installation process. This is what I feel about this product so far:1) The funtions and the price seems very attactive. However, there are many design issue made the installation process not pleasant.2) The installation manual, as expected through preview, is horrible. There are many key steps not clearly stated. I have to figured them out myself and it took me long time to do so.3) The design is not space saving. The hardwares are behind the glass panels which demand space. Although it claims to be standard 60X32. The space inside the enclosure is much smaller than that because of the hardware behind the glass panels. This, by the way, is not clearly explained, and I concerned about not having enough bathroom space to host it. I had to put the frame up to understand that it requires 60X32 finished space to host the unit. Essentially treat it like a washer/dryer.4) The drainage design is not American standard, and I was told it's European. The drainage pipe is only 1 1/2" (American uses 2" pipe) and no clear instruction in the menu on drainage hookup or choices of rough in preparation. The flexible drainage pipe looks cheap and I am not sure how long it will last before leaking.I'll update you once the unit is finished and tested. Oeverall, the price seems really attractive. I recommend to have an experienced guy, which is hard to find, to put it together. The contractor just got the installation 95% done. The unit looks beautiful. Everything works. I didn't regret the purchase, and feel the manufacturer should improve the product, especially installation manual, to deserve more stars.

Very Nice unit, but tight
It looks great, has a lot of cool functions. I love steam showers but this unit is kinda tight. I am 5'9" and there doesn't leave much head room. You have to stand either facing the back or front door to have arm space. If I stand facing the side I am pretty much shoulder to shoulder to the glass door and control panel wall. I should've check the measurements more carefully. I didn't realize until my contractor installed the unit. Also I had to contact the company for replacement parts, one part was broken on delivery. Also missing screws and washers. Service rep really helpful and fast on getting the replacement parts. If you are a small person this is great unit.

I wonder if we have the same unit as I like mine.
I have had my unit for about 2 years. It functions well. It is attractive. The installation manual was inadequate but the person who installed it for me called the salesman and worked out the issues. It steams up in about three minutes. I would have preferred the shower to be in the center instead of at each end. I find it big enough and I am 5'10"/180. I take a steam shower every morning in the winter. It would have cost about double to recreate the unit with a General Contractor. In short, I am more than satisfied and have no issues.

Honest DIY review...
Ok let me start out by giving a little background. My wife and I have ZERO experience with construction. We have over the past 20 years begun DIYing our home. We did a complete makeover of out 1978 yellow steel tub and yellow toilet with vinyl floor. It was hideous.. We spent a year researching fixtures and construction methods for making our own walk in shower. After looking at the costs we found the ariel to be cost contender with the amount of renovation we would have to do and to get the wow factor we were looking for…Don’t get me wrong it was not the cheapest but it was surprisingly cost competitive and seemed fairly simple assemble. We did just that – the bathroom took 1 week to complete and the shower was 2 days for the 1 week. I found the instructions fine with a few issues with the electric EFI circuit I was lost on but the folk where we purchased it from were awesome with the tech support. We got ours from atlasusa.com. The only issue we had which is well documented is the drain. I underestimated the importance of installing a dedicated drain and simply used the supplied flexible drain provided. After a couple days of very slow drainage, I was able to fix the issue quickly and it has worked flawlessly every day since July 2013 (over 6 months). I use the steam function nearly every day and the shower uses very high quality hardware. I did remove the hair catcher and the other junk they had in the original drain and if I were to do it again I would have put in a permanent drain and scrapped the provided drain from the beginning. We smile every time we use the shower and everyone who walks into the bathroom, still 6 months later, comments on the shower. I could not be happier. With the new drain we do lift the floor up once a month, just to make sure its clean and working well down there. The wood is holding up great so far even with daily use and I would recommend this project to anyone. By the way it was a perfect fit as a replacement for our existing bathtub. Fits snug wall to wall…If I could attach a picture I would, but it looks and works great! This was 100% installed by 2 middle aged people in 2 days with 1 phone tech support call....
