Compliments using a lacrosse ball.
This is made from hard rubber and so suitable for getting deep into muscle fibres.The sucker end sticks very well to smooth surfaces. I had no problems getting it to stick to surfaces which aren't completely smooth such as some slightly textured tiles and a wooden table. When stuck it makes it very easy to use as you can move your body weight on and off it and it won't move.When used on carpet or anything that it can't stick to clearly it will move around but can still be used if you are careful to keep it upright.I've been using this to get into a knot in my glutes. It's very good at getting right onto the trigger point then I use a lacrosse ball to roll around on the massage the area in and around the trigger point which is much better than using just the ball.It's well made, works well and priced sensibly, very good.
