I wanted a simple switch to split one Cat5 to 2 output lines. I need to keep the input speed at 600 mbps. The speeds for the split output lines are good. Plug and play for installation.

This is my first time using a switch with fiber ports. I ran 100m of OM3 cable between two buildings, and it connected right up, no problem. The reason for the -1 star is that I can't seem to connect at 2.5G between the same 2 Tenda switches - only at 1G. The 10GTek fiber receivers I'm using on each end are rated at 10G, as the cable, so not sure why the switch wouldn't connect at the higher speed. I see nothing in the Tenda manual on how to set a higher speed, so it must be auto-ranging?Other than that, the switch seems to work perfectly, and is a gem for the price.Update, 3 days later - the switch has now negotiated at 2.5 G on the fiber ports. Guess it needed a little time to settle in. Updating review to 5 stars.

Super easy setup; unbox, plug in to my existing router, plug in my ethernet cables for TV and PC; Just Works

I like the switch, it is seemingly well built, it provides 2.5 GB speeds across all its ports, and I enjoy using it in different parts of my house, in order to keep wired devices connected at higher than gigabit speeds. I obviously cannot speak as to its durability, because I’ve only had it for a few weeks. But so far, I am satisfied.

I have tested this switch for its performance at 1GB Internet speeds, with tests on computers and also with another switch connected to the network, I have tested it with multiple connected devices such as computers, routers, TVs and 4K cameras, the performance has been excellent.I didn't believe when they said that it wouldn't get hot when using it, because generally switches get a little hot, but it's true this switch doesn't get hot, I've tested it for more than a month inside a drawer, it worked perfectly there without generating heat, since some months, I have had it running with many devices connected on a desk and it has worked perfectly.The design could be the only detail I have found, but it is not a problem, the device seems to be designed to be inside a rack or to be installed screwed "upside down" rather than to be installed on a table, but the It really doesn't get hot despite not having a fan and allowing 16 ports to work simultaneously, for me it has been an excellent choice to expand my network in the more than 5 months that I have been using it.

These are a deal, compared to what the local hardware store wanted for an equivalent. They work as anticipated.

Recently got fiber internet (1gb) and had been running my dsl (50mbs) over cat5 to my ps5 and wireless to my xbox series x. I used this to put both on cat5. Now I'm seeing 900mbs on both systems. And this thing is smaller than a box of stick matches

Quantity you get 5 ports to extend any devicethat uses Ethernet. Extend it to other rooms. Value for your money is good with this 5 port gigabit switch. It's plug and play simple connect.

Este pequeño switch de 16 puertos lo compré para uso en el hogar. Es más pequeño físicamente de lo que se ve en las fotos, pero funciona muy bien. Es pequeño, ligero y se ve muy bien construido (NO es de plástico, es metálico y viene en un color "sepia" muy original, nada desagradable). Es totalmente silencioso (como dice en la publicidad). Es bonito y compacto. Se puede colgar (trae taquetes y pijas) o se puede poner en una superficie plana (mesa, charola, etc) pues vienen unas patitas de goma adhesivas que uno las pega en caso de ponerlo en una mesa.Incluye una opción para VLAN que no he explorado, pero es bueno saber que hace más que solo conmutar los datos en la red. De momento la opción VLAN la tengo desactivada (tiene un pequeño interruptor por la parte de atrás para poder activar/desactivar dicha opción VLAN).No he probado el switch a su máxima capacidad pues mi red NO ES GIGABIT, pero funciona muy bien el aparatito.Llevo pocos días usando el switch pero hasta hoy ha funcionado perfectamente. Lo recomiendo por su calidad y valor.

So far this has been a reliable and fast switch. Very happy with it.

Nice little thing, you just plug it in and it works. I have 2 machines connected to it and got almost 1gbps on each at the same time, up and down.I have it for almost 5 months already, without issues.

Immediately noticed a problem when the internet would randomly cut out. I already threw the box away so I can't return this anymore, but beware that the stability is questionable at best.

Even when you split the signal, the speed is still good.
